Howdie, IT type Powers That Be!

I started a thread over in General suggesting that we create some sort of listing of folk volunteering to do Beta/editing for fanfic writers. This was in response to the Fanfic Pet Peeve thread where so many folk posted complaints about stories containing errors in punctuation, grammer, tense, etc.

I know from experience how difficult it can be to see all the boo-boos in your own work and find someone willing to give helpful correction and meaningful feedback. My suggestion was that volunteers list any restrictions on the material the'll edit (like "No non-canon pairings" or "No slash"), give an approximate turn around time on work, and any particular skills , credentials, or
experience they might have.

This list could be included with other writer resources and could go a long way toward mentoring fanfic writers and in general, elevating the quality of stories being posted.

I don't know what's technically involved in setting this up, but there are a number of folks who have already volunteered over at my original thread in General.

Can you help us?

One day.
One plan.
One army of Browncoats.

On June 23rd, we aim to misbehave.
