Arizona Sherrif gets tough on Illegals.

Being aware that there are some disillusioned dinks on this board who think that the Minutemen volunteer groups constituted a bunch of vigilante thugs, forming their own posse with intentions of reliving the last stand at the Alamo, but with the good guys winning THIS time.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
However, one brave American, the legendary Sheriff Joseph Arpaio has decided to turn the LAW on the illegals problem.

But Arpaio's actions are already causing some controversy.
Arpaio, the sheriff for Arizona's most populous county, is taking advantage of a new state law that allows charging undocumented immigrants with criminal conspiracy to smuggle themselves into the United States. Previous laws had made entering the U.S. illegally a misdemeanor, not a felony. The anti-human-smuggling statute took effect in Arizona in August and gave prosecutors a tool to go after "coyotes," or smugglers, who traffic in undocumented immigrants.
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office later issued an opinion saying undocumented immigrants suspected of paying coyotes could be prosecuted as conspirators.
"It’s a felony; I am enforcing a new law," Arpaio said. "I’m the elected sheriff and I'm going to do what I feel is right regardless of the controversy."
Joe Arpaio is the same Sheriff who makes his prisoners wear pink underwear, sleep in fan cooled tents (sorry, no A.C. ), have pink bed sheets. Further more, the prisoners get no cable t.v., eat baloney sandwiches for lunch ( at a cost of 15 CENTS per meal ) and work on actual chain gangs. Maricopa County proudly boast of having the world's only female chain gang, as the ladies aren't spared any of the indignities that their male counterparts must endure.
The point of all this ? Being in his prison SUCKS, so don't break the law!

Wish some others would follow suit! Maybe if we got tough on illegals they wouldn't find our country so inviting! We've been too soft for far too long! I come from immagrats my ancestors went though Ellis Island and they were humiliated just becouse they spoke Queen's English and Scots Gaelic! Today we don't even require English spoken in our schools!!!! My grandfather's parents couldn't even find a place ta live becouse they didn't speak American English !!! How sick and fucked up will we let things get in this country? We're using laws designed to go after human traffickers to prosecute their victims!?
This is even more insane when you consider that our screwed up immigration policies are what keep the 'coyotes' in business in the first place. Are we really that goddamned cruel? There are real people suffering because of all this.

How is it insane? They have a country that they can change, if they have the backbone to. It's called MEXICO! Not the USA. Too many folks are just trying to take the easy way out and skirt across the border rather than deal w/ their own problem.
If they stay in Mexico ( or legally immigrate to the US ) there's no NEED to use Coyotes in the 1st place. Amd where did you get the impression that those who traffic in human beings get off scott free? ( If you didn't mean to imply such, excuse my last comment) ANYONE breaking the law in Maricopa County is headed for pink undies and baloney sammiches. Hopefully the rest of the border states will be following suit.
