So, the wife and I go out to a brunch buffet with a freind. This place has the most wounderful eggs benedict.
Today it was actually busy when we went so I was worried that I wouldn't get any of my eggs benedict. As I was waiting for the guy in front of me to get his stuff (the food is served not self-serve), I noticed that there was some left.
So, I turned to my wife and friend and said "Shiny! They got some eggs benedict!"
After I got mine, I moved onto the next server guy on the buffet. He asked me if I was a Firefly fan and I of course said yes; he was too! He seemed to have noticed my shiny comment
The next time up we spoke about B movies like Dead Alive and Bad Taste. Seemed to be a nice guy
Anyone else have any chance meetings like this?

I was just over in the chat at serenitymovie.org, and someone said they saw someone with a Serenity shirt... not an interesting story, and not even mine, but always a nice thing.
Bad Taste is one of my favorite movies, btw.
I'm a Derek, and Derek's don't run.

It turned out that many of the waitstaff in a bar I frequent are Browncoats. Now when I go in we all get together and discuss.
It's awesome!

Awwww, I wanna meet a random browncoat!
Hopefully, though, with my shiny new brown coat, I will draw them like a magnet

Im pretty much the browncoat in my town. Most the ones that are comeing around now ive introduced to the series. Few others that like the series and seen it but most of them dont think of themselves as browncoats (yet atleast). Sofar I havent meet a single real browncoat in town outside my circle of friends, but im always hopefull.

Yeah, I met a fellow...well, I'm not sure if he was a Browncoat but he was a Whedon fan. I was getting ready to go see "Thank You For Smoking" and the guy taking up tickets noticed my Serenity tee I was wearing. We chatted for a sec about the show and how Joss was working on the new X-Men comic series. It always nice to find someone else out there familiar with our beloved 'Verse.
Keep flyin'.

I ran into a guy at a fencing tournament who was wearing a Serenity T-shirt. I told him, "if you're wearing a shirt like that then you know what a shirt like this means", as I showed him the khaki Blue-Sun shirt I was wearing.
He was surprised such a shirt existed and said he'd have to look into getting one. We chatted about the series, movie, etc. as is expected. Of course the biggest question was, "why was that show cancelled again?"
