Interesting that Simon is dressed a little more casually, like he was in "Objects in Space". He's moving away from the buttoned-up vest look. Symbolic of adapting to the new lifestyle?

Well, the black vest he wore half the season was left at St. Lucy's, in the morgue, on Ariel. And I think Kaylee's been working on him to loosen up. I like Casual!Simon. And it's so nice to see him happy.

my brain just did the funniest thing. I suddenly remembered these pics and put together a spoiler from later in the episode. It was like getting a joke 3 days later. Did everyone else figure it out right away? It involves the pics of mal and zoe in the med lab.
