Not really a problem, but in case the info is useful in some way...

earlier when I came by I was logged out after clicking on one thread. I didn't log back in at the time, just lurked around as a guest. Came back a couple of hours later and I was logged in again (and I seem to have stayed that way.)

Same thing happening to me as reported above...
Not a Web server geek [tho' I play one on TV]
but it sounds like there's a user volume limit on the server-side handler that I'm thinking might be peaking so some people get logged off [kinda like a batch overflow problem in old 70s mainframes after too many users log on -- yeah, that dates me somethin' terrible, don't it?] so maybe something similar is happening here. Sure have been getting a lot of new people so maybe the numbers are just too many.
"We were soooo many..."
But then of course I could completely wrong... in which case it's Jayne's fault.

I'd show as GUEST in chat, but my chat posts would show as Karel.

I'd show as Karel in chat, but my posts would show as GUEST.

I fixed these problems (and others) by deleting (eating?) all fireflyfans.net cookies and cached items. I have not had any problems since.

Addendum: Same problems on another machine at home. Same fix. Same problems on my machine at work. Same fix. Keeping fingers crossed.

I know Succatash was having problems too.

I found that as I moved through the site, I would suddenly become guest. It also occured in the chat.

I also deleted cookies...it's been two days and things are working. *crosses her fingers with Karel's*

Hey Haken,
For awhile, I was having problems logging in so I could respond to posts. That hasn't happened for a few days, though, so maybe you fixed it.

Btw, thank you for everything you've done for this site. Members comin' up to 20,000 - you must be proud!

FYI, I logged on about 8 hours ago, then went out to an Easter brunch (didn't close the browser windows but, no activity), came back and moved around the site. I was still logged on.

I'm kind of having this problem again. Anyone else having it?

Not really a problem...I will have to re-login every now and then to post something, but that's about it. Not really a major issue, just a "huh!" moment.

Holding until you get back, Captain.

I just noticed, when I was on one of the Forum pages (think it was Immediate Assistance), that I was logged on as Guest. When I selected a thread from that forum, I was again logged on as YT, and when I returned to the forum listing, I was a Guest again.

On the listing for this forum, I'm logged on as YT (and, of course, likewise for this thread).
