Kaele is off duty tonight I think, so if it's ok, I think I'll rummage around and try to find you that lightweight browncoat.
* throws some things outa the way in storeroom, banging some metal stuff together, then stops a sec and admires her pics of Cappy, but I'm supposed to be lookin', so.... wait, wait, over here, I have the gear for Browncoats who will be fightin' in the warm climes... here we go! Hands AkuKodogo a light weight sun protection factor 45 Browncoat!*
How do I do that!
I'm glad you love it here, because I do to. We have the shiniest site!

Greetings, AkuKodogo.
Mango ice sounds good, but it's trifle cold here in strawberry land. Put one in the freezer for me for a few months, eh?
Meanwhile, enjoy the company. I do.
PS FollowMal, I've lost my link for gossi's board with Appreciatin' Nathan on it. Embarrassing, since I've been registered so long! Can you supply? TQVM!

Wow, Mc1cmso, you started one heck of a thread.
Sometimes, I start wondering if I'm the only crazy out there who still believes, and then I see a thread like this. It's inspiring. The Browncoat Revolution is growing every day. We will have our Big Damn Trilogy!
Y'know, there's a story I've always loved about how King Alfred the Great trained an army in secrecy while his country was occupied and he was on the run. On Easter Sunday, they rallied, seemingly out of nowhere, and started driving the Danes out of Wessex.
It's going to be like that. We're going to hit critical mass with so many Firefly fans that our show will rise again, in some form or another. We just have to keep believing, and keep recruiting.
For you newer recruits, let me point you toward a site that is all about holding the line: www.BrowncoatsRiseAgain.com
On a different subject:
Not to gripe, FollowMal, but do you think you could spare a coat for the guy who wrote "The Ballad of Joss"?

Bun,
Here it is, and I'm real excited you will be joining us, it's so much fun over there and it's always nice to visit over there and then come home over here and yack about it.

Hey, if you love our Cap'n as much as I do, I'm going to post a pic from Slither and some quotes from my SciFi Magazine up in a thread later today, after I figure out how to do it without doing something wrong.
Wish it was pics from the making of Serenity:II, but I'll take 'em.
I'll see you over there at the A.N. thread.

Oh, Cedric, I would be honored to give you a browncoat!
*hands Cedric a shiny new browncoat and bows with respect to the man who wrote The Ballad of Joss*
You sir, are awesome! And I love your music and I'm going to play it in rotation with other Firefly music in my shop so my customers can hear it and be inspired. I can't wait to get my copy!
We shall rise again, the Browncoat Revolution is upon us!
I have to admit, not knowing that much history I didn't know about King Alfred and his army against the Danes, but I have often thought what you said.. that all of a sudden there will be so many of us, that TPTB will have to listen to us.
We'll make 'em.
Keep makin' that music Cedric, and we Browncoats and the world will keep listenin'!

How did I miss this thread before???
One of the things I really love about this place is how thoughtful and articulate folks are! Everyone is made to feel welcome and everyone has the most fascinating things to say. I'm impressed that while I think, "Gee, I love Firefly," others find much better ways to explain exactly what they love about the show & characters, and to point out to me all kinds of things I would otherwise have missed about the BDM and all of the episodes.
Welcome to all new Browncoats and thank you to everyone at FireflyFans.net!
P.S. Thanks for all of the yummy food, too!

Shiny! Actually heard about you guys(Bards) yesterday at a FireflyDFW lunch shindig...I'll be ordering your highly recommended CD this week.
As for converting the wife, well, she likes the show, but hasn't quite caught Browncoat Fever. I'll keep working her, but will probably have to work a compromise and become a Pottercoat. (I like the HP movies but haven't read the books). Such is marriage.
And BTW, thanks for putting out a CD in the first place...it's 'Coats like you that really seem to go the extra, extra, extra mile in the Fight to Re-Light our Big Damn Show!
Stay shiny...
