Psst, all -

I don't think the Episode reviews on the left hand side of the site are entirely representative of general browncoat opinion, and certainly they are not accurate.

I only just noticed myself that I could cast my vote - can I ask everyone else to help me score down 'Shindig' and 'The Message' and elevate 'Out of Gas'?

Hehe I am somewhat in jest here, but seriously, relatively few have scored any of the episodes. I can't bear to see 'The Message' top scoring on 9.33. What if someone visited this site purely to find out the fans' favourite episode to download and watch.

'The Message' is now at 9.17 - that's still offensively high compared to OoG at 8.98.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of people say they love the message, but also many saying they think it's one of the weaker episodes.

I don't hate it myself (gave it a 7) I just think the ratings are not representative since only 17 people have scored it!

My vendetta against it will cease as soon as OoG overtakes it.

I have to admit that the Message was the first episode I ever saw (on the scifi channel) and it failed to really hold my attention. It took Heart of Gold to inspire me to buy the series.

Now I just love all the episodes!

I find it impossible to rate the episodes since I enjoy all of them. I will say I have a strong preference for "War Stories" and "Serenity" which I think are the exceptional of an exceptional show, but as for the other eps...there's little things about each one that I love. But, good luck on your campaign.

They ARE the general browncoat opinion whether you like it or not. Matter of taste anyway, there is no "right" or "wrong".

As for why I disagree, I think the fact that The Message has such a small sample of voters means that the only people who reviewed it are those who especially liked it - as tends to be the case with voluntarily rated things on the internet.

I must've come across about half a dozen people who cited this episode as their least favourite, and if just these 6 bothered to review with a score of 6 each then we'd see the rating plummet to about 8.4
