As a newbie myself, welcome aboard. I checked out a lot of boards and sites, and, like you, this one just seemed like home. Great to see people who share my appreciation of words and characters, and the disappearing art of storytelling.
I would love to hear from any Alabama Browncoats out there. (Yes, we can read down hear, don't laugh) The ornery independent spirit that led many of our Southern ancestors to fight in the Civil War even though they had no stock in the financial underpinnings of slavery and the Old South economy, but simply for the right to live as they saw fit, is well serviced by the vision of Firefly and the Browncoat nation. Just remember, "we are mighty"

been a might busy lately, but just poping my head in to welcome ya to the verse as well. Welcome to our nice shiny little corner. Sit a spell and enjoy all the shiny folks from diff walks of live we got here. As everyone one else has probably told ya there is the comics, River Tam session, the extended bloopers, etc etc etc.

Hello everyone!I am a newbie as well and I thought this would be a good place for my first post. I went to see Serenity the first day it came out and I loved it! I borrowed the dvds from a fellow Browncoat, and after 5 minutes of seeing the pilot I was hooked for life! Nice to find a fanbase that has nice intelligent people. Stay shiny all.

The Bible's a little fuzzy on the subject of kneecaps.
