I wish it would...but I don't know if it can. Firefly got lucky in being made into the movie Serenity, but the problem was that movie made no money and was taken out of theaters after only 2 weeks.
Firefly will probably never comeback to tv, I wish Josh Weedon would write some books for the show or something to keep telling the stories, but that guy doesn't have the time to write books.

Huh!? The movie didn't make LOTS of money, but it did make money (around $39 million if you include the overseas box office). And I don't know where you are, but in a lot of places it was in the cinemas for far longer than 2 weeks.
It's alright to try to keep a realistic perspective, just don't make things seem worse than they are just to justify your point.

We will fly again, but it only depends on what forum we get it on, and this is what I believe, whether its movies, shows, or comics.

The scifiwire interview is with Loni Peristere, visual-effects supervisor for Serenity.
Loni compares Serenity DVD sales to Wedding Crashers DVD sales.

Joss has time to write comic books and he said he would. Steven Brust has already written a Firefly/Serenity book. I hope he is one of the authors that gets picked for the next books.
Serenity is still playing in US theaters. 115 continuous days!

I think there is a good chance we will get a new movie as a scifi orginal picture with a much cheaper budget like under 20 million. They will probably also relaese it on DVD as well. That way they are sure to make a profit.

I think Firefly would do great as a SciFi show. Fox has a history of canceling good shows, and trying to milk mediocre ones too long (honestly, X-Files was done by Season 7).
If they ever got it off the ground again, I'd watch. :)
