This is a tale of bridesmaid woe. I had to don an ugly dress on October 2nd, I had a rehearsal luncheon on October 1st...the Bachelorette Party was on September 30th. Oh yes, my friends, I had to watch my friend be humiliated with phallic jewelry. I refused to take any part in that.

The point of this little tableau is to let you all know that I skipped out early on the 'Ette Party to see Serenity on opening night (in the US). YES, it was THAT serious. 10:20 start time, tipsy and stiletto-clad, I made it to the last showing that would still classify as September 30th.

After the Rehearsal Lunch the next day, you had better believe I went to see it again.

What silly thing did you do in the name of Serenity (or Firefly)? Go ahead, tell us. Of all places, we here will understand.

The day before, I had gotten my last payment from my Sept couple whose wedding I filmed. I then immediately took the money and used it to dye my hair the exact same color as Wash's hair for the next day.

I had all of Friday off, so I went to see SERENITY four times in one day. Not only that, I went dressed as Wash, complete with Hawaiian shirt and plastic dinosaurs. And after all that, I went one more time on Saturday, so I saw it a grand total of five times in the theatre.

Needless to say, I was a bit worn out after seeing the same flick four times in a row.

"YES!!!I'm a man posessed by many demons....Polite demons that would open the door for a lady carrying too many parcels...BUT DEMONS NONETHELESS!!!! Yes. I have walked along the path of evil many times, it's a twisting, curving path that..actually leads to a charming plot garden, BUT BEYOND THAT EVIL!!!"

Aside from sneaking into a preview screening because I didn't get a chance to get tickets, I had a whole posse of cosplaying Browncoats with me and we saw the first screening on the 29th. There was a Mal, a Jayne, a Simon, a Wash (Me) and a Book.

PIE!
