My condolences about the seasonal affective disorder. I live in Michigan too, and I know how dreary it gets around the winter.

I suppose I should extend my own thanks to fanfic authors as well. Reading you guys has helped me get through many a work day.

Me too - writing has been one of the more satisfying things I've done in a while, and I'd never have gotten into it without the many very wonderful examples set.

I love seeing all the creative places people go with these characters!

Ya know, none of us get paid in any sort of cashee-money or otherwise for our efforts, but that just made my day, it really did. I am envisioning a whole set of extra stories leading up to and beyond the BDM, and have begun to put them up for offering, and I i can brighten one day in your life with my work, my man, then fuck tom clancy, I'm getting paid a hell of a lot more than him!

Hey, I live in Michigan too, so I know all about the S.A.D. thing! In fact, getting into Firefly and beginning my first fanfic kept me busy enough last winter that I didn't go completely bugst like I usually do.

Hope the muse keeps me busy this winter as well...and if it helps someone else escape the monotony and depression, why, all the better!
