May as well be.

I don't think any child of a browncoat will get away without knowing the entire scripts through osmosis if nothing else by the time they're 14.

There'll be the teen rebellions, where they go out and buy copies of Andromeda just to piss the folks off, but they'll come around eventually.

And really, we ought to organise at least some intercontinental dating here. Let's spread those Firefly genes!

I so thought that said 'incontinance dating' then. (hey, just consider the previous three posts!

need to get the old brainpan examined.

And they say there are less expensive tickets, but experience of trying to buy them means you've more luck convincing me that Bigfoot exists.

I think Firefly might be too abstract for a 5 or 6 year old. My plan is to show them the original Star Wars trilogy at an early age (hey, my parents did it to me), show 'em the prequel trilogy if they want, and hopefully they'll be sci-fi fans once they get old enough to care. Then I bust out Firefly/Serenity. "You ain't seen nothing yet!"

I'm gonna be an awesome dad.

My kids are gonna hate me.

KID #1: "Dad! You promised you'd take us to get some ice cream!"

ME: "Not until you watch Jaynestown."

KID #1: "But dad, Jayne is a girl's name."

ME: "Well Jayne ain't a girl. Now watch."

KID #2: "Dad, I can't blink!"

ME: "Tough."

Don't forget the ballgags, that way they can't talk and distract themselves from the show.
and, you MONSTER! why would you torture children that way, showing them SW ep1-3? That's criminal.
That's the sort of thing that gets kids years of thearapy.

So, back from the New Years Shindig. "What happens in Aiken stays in Aiken." Special thanks to Serenity for planning and hosting. I had a great time. Hope everyone else did.

See ya in the funny papers.

Glad you made it home safe and sound. I sent everyone else home today in the POURING RAIN. Argh.

Oh, and Sign Me Up for the Intercontinental Dating!!!

Orpheus: DarkJester brought along is video he took from the NCBDMPP and we're all on it, even you! You and all your friends. He burned us extra copies. If I was computer savvy I'd find a way to rip it or whatever the heck they call it and put it somewhere online so you could see it.

Pouring rain, yeah, glad I missed that.
International Dating.....sounds expensive, but possibly worth it if you find the right one.
I wish I could have stayed yesterday, but work today prevented that : (
More and larger shindigs in the future. We shouldn't have to wait 'til Dragon*Con to see everybody again.

There's always St. Patty's Day. Good day to try an irish car bomb.

And Valentines. We could have an Anti-Valentines party. No couples, decorations in black. We drink black russians and eat chocolate and cookies shaped like broken hearts and other non-romantic things. Instead of valentines, you give each other fake hate notes. Some friends and I started doing this in college. You send each other notes like:

If I had a zillion
Cds, none would be Marillion
I'd rather listen to Bjorn
Or assail my ears with Korn
and Karaoke tone-deaf Nathan Fillion.

Okay, that was terrible, but you get the idea. And of course, I would much rather listen to Marillion than Korn because I don't like Korn at all, but that's the fun. One friend sent me a lovely poem about how she hated my hair and I should get a pixie cut.

Okay, babbling. Going to shut up now before I still the Babbling crown from Seryn.

I like the way you think.
St. Patty's Irish car bombs, and Anti valentine's day. Both do-able.
I'm not sure I'd be very good at the fake hate notes though...I love my browncoats, It's hard to be mean.
Out Bable Seryn?? Talk about doing the impossible.... She's my babble queen, she gives me s
