Okay, it's been a long while since I've made one of these and it seems that my third adventure has somehow dissapeared from the database...

ImEarly was unsure of his decision, but knew that his best interest was well away from the authoritative Odeon. He looked about the newly placid field, and found no artifact to comfort him. Any direction seemed as good as another, save that of the route the wyvern riders took flight.
“Where is this council?” He asked Odeon.
Odeon pointed with one of his mammoth paws toward the north western horizon.
“Not far from here, closer then the city to those who know the correct way.”

ImEarly shifted in his… boots? Where had his tennis shoes gone? For the first time in hours he had a moment to look over himself. He wore a dark tunic and long thick pants. They felt like the thick blue jeans that his father had given him to wear at the plant. The kind that protects the skin from potential heavy metal or liquid oxygen leaks. Only these were wet with sweat, he hoped only sweat, and slid eerily across his skin.
Odeon was watching ImEarly’s confusion with a measure of satisfaction, not that he knew why he was befuddled, he was simply happy to see him squirm.

“What’s wrong with you boy? We’re all waiting for a decision.”
Still inspecting himself, ImEarly began to feel the eyes of the horsemen upon him.
“I’ll go and seek this advice. I’m not sure what it will help, but any direction would be appreciated.”
Dagon guided his horse closer. “I’ll go with him.” He said to Odeon.
“You will not!” barked Odeon
“Two of your men must accompany him to the council. I’m the only one who has been there.”
“You have little experience whelp, and you’ve been there only once.”

Dagon tried to contain the fury boiling within him. “Being there once is more then none, and as you have already said it’s closer then the city to those who know the correct way.”
Odeon raised his right hand to his mouth and let loose a quick and piercing whistle. From the throng of horsemen a single horse came forth. It was Odeon’s. He mounted it with agile precision and looked to his company behind him.
“Gilrod, ride with them?”

A rider came out of formation, Gilrod was unique among the other riders, his clothing was not tattered and he wore no armor, he did not wield a sword on his side as did the others, instead he had two long, thin hilts exposed just over his back, they crossed at his neck and appeared to grow from his head like horns. He also did not look like the others, his skin was slightly darker and to ImEarly he looked like someone whose parents were both Asian and Russian.
The poem by Coleridge came to mind; In Xanadu did Kubla Khan, A stately pleasure-dome decree…

His thoughts were interrupted as Odeon guided his horse around, and without a word he and the horsemen resumed their ride to Herothgard.
Gilrod guided his horse beside ImEarly. “Upon your beast sorcerer, we must ride swiftly.”
ImEarly mounted his horse without a word, and watched as Odeon and the horsemen continued their journey.
“What is the message?” He asked Dagon.
Dagon stared into ImEarly with sad eyes. His voice was caught in his throat, and he was unable to reply.
“The Gigan have returned.” Gilrod answered.
“What are the Gigan?”
“When he is ready, he will tell you. For now we must ride.”

Silently Dagon led the two men north. They rode swift, yet watchful of any surprises. As the hours passed, the clouds that had dominated the sky gave way to the most radiant and beautiful stars ImEarly had ever seen. He studied them carefully but could make no recognizable pattern from them. Where as the Big Dipper, Polaris, Orion or Cassiopeia? He was feeling lost again, alie

Glad it's back, IAmEarly! I was wondering what happened to it.

I say Reason. Story Iamearly is no swordsman.

"Invader's blood marches through my veins like giant radioactive rubber pants. The pants command me! Do not ignore my veins!"

Naturally, I think you should fight.

Strip-mining prevents forest fires.
