I have just a couple quick points for everyone. First off, i work at Blockbuster, and we got Serenity in on Wednesday the 14th to put out on the 20th, and actually looking at it, the cover isnt as bad as i thought it would be, but some people still wont like it.

Second off, i have the privlidge of being able to rent the movie early and watch it again, yay me, and during one of the Bonus Features movies, Re-Lighting a Firefly, i think it was, Joss talks about getting Firefly up and going again after being canceled and mentions the fan support he got, and they go to a screen where a bunch of different websites pop up, and the first to come up and the largest is FIREFLYFANS.NET

So i just wanted to let everyone know that apparently Joss is looking out for the browncoats and wants the people running this site to get some praise.

One of my students works at a video store and was able to rent the DVD last week and he brought it into class.

Once we got through the final exam, I plugged my laptop into the overhead projector, put a set of powered speakers into the headphone jack and cranked up "Serenity".

Now this was a computer class, with mostly hard-core scifi, trekkie, star wars nerds (in a good way) and when they saw this movie, every single one was awestruck.

Always fun to be present at the birth of new Browncoats.

Zoë: Proximity alert. Must be coming up on something.
Wash: [alarmed] Oh my god! What can it be? We're all doomed! Who's FLYING this thing?! [deadpan] Oh right, that would be me. Uh, back to work.

I just watched that today and saw it too :)

I also noticed in that video that when Ron Glass first speaks and his name comes up on the screen it says 'Shephard Meria Book'. I always thought it was Derrial Book... a mistake on my part or their's?

Theirs - it is titled wrong on the DVD, unfortunately.
