Ok, say they did make a new sesason of firefly. If you imagine this now i'll give you 2 minutes of silence just to enjoy the monent :P

Anyway, say if they where to introduce 2-3 new caracters. What/who would they be?

For me;

Pilot - Female. Of cource noone can replace our loving Wash. And they shouldnt try to. So the pilot shouldnt be the comedic element. But not another zoe either. Kind of a middle thing between kaylee and inara.

Cook - Male. The ship NEEDs a cook. Notice how none of them can actually make good food? Ok, book knew some trix, but....you know. I also think he could be kinda the funny one now that a certain individual is gone. I also think he could be a friend or something of Wash and that he found out about serenity through Wash. (just to have a way to remember wash :))

Merc #2 - Another male. Not sure how i would like him to be, but certanly not like Jayne. Every caracter should be different. I'm thinking kinda mystical (like you dont know everything about him). Like Book. Basicly because i would like to have a caracter that keeps you wondering. Like we did with Book.

So, what would you like to see?

Jayne: All those years of preacher training, getting knocked out by one bounty hunter
Book: Oh, dont get me wrong. I gave him a hell of a fight
Jayne: Epic i'm guessing

I don't think they really need another character but if they add one, I think it should be someone Jayne can relate to, maybe one of Jayne's siblings.

They already have a female pilot, if you think about it. At the end of the BDM, River shows that she has the talent for flying Serenity. I believe in a recent interview that Summer Glau did, she even said that she was pleased that at the end of the movie, River now had found a place on the ship. She had always wanted to feel a part of the crew, and now she is.

you know, at the end of the BDM i almost thought the Operative was going to join the crew when he had his last conversation with Mal.

i think it would've been pretty cool if he actually did join the crew. he could be the bad-ass martial arts guy with a killer instinct (a match for jayne possibly) with a mysterious past (somewhat like book).

Another passenger. This one dresses like Liberace and trains circus poodles, all dyed different pastel colors.

Okay I am sooo ready for this question, in the days after serenity I was looking for anyway that Wash could possibly come back and I ruled out reincarnation cause hello this show is way more deep then Buffy EVER was and It just is to supernatural... so I started creating my own little charector ( which I do ALL the time... so far, I have a charector bio for Harry Potter, Buffy, Lost, X-men ect..) but I came up with... Darcy Washbourne; Wash's little sister, who always wanted to follow in her big brothers footsteps. She heard about his death and went to finally meet the women that her brother loved...When she gets there she decides to join the crew and the rest is history... also the rest, I am still working on... if I work out the kinks and come up with an ending I could write a fan-fic who knows

I love you Wash!...sniffle
oh and i love you Kaylee to but not in a sniffly sort of way

Argh. Go on, you can say it. Ex-Navy seal master sargent & super cook with martial arts thrown in... C'mon you know the guy.

Been there, Seen that.

I agree they might need a new spiritual balance depending on where the show goes but with River possibly taking the helm we have an even wilder pilot than before...

But Roadblock's already working, doing G.I. Joe.

(Yeah, I know Roadblock's no SEAL, but the character type fits.)

I had a very similar thought in another thread (don't think anybody took me seriously)...but as hard to do as it might be, I'd like to see David Allen Coe cast as a recurring guest star, and playing Jayne's father. The guy was pretty much an epitome of testosterone run amok when he was younger...crude, rude, spoke his mind, didn't care what kind of flack he might get...kind of like the character of Jayne! He could be a veteran kind of fighter...knows the ropes and tends to enlighten...kind of filling Shepherd Book's shoes but in different ways (and Jayne was close to Book), plus the guy is a known name. His appearances on the show could get more people tuning in to check the show out, and maybe hook them from there.

Hehe...

I was thinking of the OTHER cartoon character. Steven Seagal as "Casey Ryback" in Under Siege.

Yes, I had to google for that...
