I'll miss the "theater experience," but I'll take all I can get.
Then again, I don't think my Firefly craving can ever be fulfilled.

I'll take it anyway I can get Firefly/Serenity-movie, TV movie, series, straight to DVD.

Now wait a gosh darn minute, all this stuff about who holds the rights is a lot of speculation. I read a few weeks ago where Joss was asked about the ownership of Firefly/ Serenity and he said that even he didn't really know who owns it.

I agree. It seems that everytime I read about Fox holding Firefly rights, the terms get longer. Last year, I heard it was a 7 year deal. Now I'm reading 10? Where did the info come from anyway? Do any of us really know what the contract says?
Whatever they are, they aren't stoping Sci-Fi from running the series now. So, aparently, the only difference is running new episodes?
Also, I've seen where some are saying they would rather have a theatrical movie or TV series over a TV movie. Well, not to sound mean...but DUH!
I think all of us would prefer that. I don't think anyone is saying they would prefer a TV movie over a series or theatrical release. We're simply saying that if that's all we can get, then we'll take it. It's better than nothing. Plus, as some have mentioned, a TV movie may be what is needed to lead to a new series. Plus, a straight to DVD movie would look nice on the shelf next to the Firefly series and Serenity DVDs.

Exactly! Hopefully, they'll begin with a multi-hour mini-series, that would pick up where the movie left off, and then transit into a regular, weekly series.
It seems to me that BG has done awfully well, even winning over many of the old series fans.

I love some of their original programming but their original movies tend to suck. Has any one seen Species III? It was horrible?
I prefer the return of the tv show or a big screen film.
Can you name a movie, where the sequel squared (sequel of a sequel) didn't suck? I don't think that it was so much Sci-Fi, as much as trying to beat a dead horse... Look at Jaws III, The Godfather III, Superman III, Star Wars III (for goodness sake, they gave us Ewoks!)

Okay, the 10 year thing doesn't exist! Really it doesn't, thought everyone knew that by now?
It was, apparently, a throw away remark by Nathon Fillion some time back that, oblivious to him it seems, snowballed out of proportion.
I can't take any credit for this mind, it's Tracy who finds out all this kinda stuff.
EDIT: I see it's already been mentioned on this thread anyhow.
