I'm a newbie too, my first convention ever! 
I don't know anyone there except Phoebe, who will be my roomie for a couple nights.
I can't wait to see a room full of flans - that'll be awesome! I'll be arriving Thursday morning, but I'll do some London sightseeing, and check in on Thursday night.
I wasn't sure what time things start rolling on Friday, and I didn't wanna miss a thing.
I can't wait to see you all, but I'm a bit scared too, so please be kind to me. lol

I will come over and say hi, SerenityPunk! I don't know what y'all look like tho. PshychicRiver will be in PsychicRiver shirt... /taking notes... I'm assuming everyone there would be friendly having the same kind of love and passion towards the same thing.
When I find you guys, don't give me any sci-fi questions, cos this is the first sci-fi that I got into. No startreck, or other sci-fi channel series... (not much buffy or angel either - shame me!)

and wow, I imagined PsychicRiver being a bit older - being able to afford to fly to US and go for a notoriously expensive Flanvention!
