Can someone tell me where (outside USA) Serenity has opened? I'm tracking money its made so far off of Box Office Mojo, and there is only domestic. The point here is that studio execs don't care where the money comes from, just how much is made. If it opens in the US to 10 million, but over seas to another 10 million thats 20 million (yes I am a math whiz like River). So just curious how many countries its opened in and how much it has made there. Some of you non-US type folks clue me in please.

To further my point the 5th Element made only $63 million domestically but $200 million overseas. With a $263 million worldwide gross you better believe there'd be a sequel.

Well, it's been out in Australia since the 29th and the numbers for the weekend are just a little over a million AUS$: http://www.serenitymovie.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=1290

For a good list of when it opens in which countries check out the countdown clock over at The Signal homepage: http://signal.serenityfirefly.com/signal.php

On places like box office mojo and IMDB, is the overseas take factored in to the box office results, or are they kept seperate?
Never in my life thought I'd care about this, but looks like I do.
I'm hoping Haken might put up some sort of comprehensive ticker, that would be fun to check out every now and again over the next few weeks.

If you click on Serenity at boxofficemojo.com and see the figures that say domestically in the mid left of the page...when worldwide figures come in it will have them listed right beneath domestic and added together for a total. At least that's how they do other movies. Check out star wars or something for reference.
