Sigh. Fiiiinally back from that housewarming I left for about 30 hours ago!! 
So yes the night dragged on with lots of highlights - including a performance by my friend's piss-poor rock band, who forced about 20 of us to sit through 8 of their songs. He was the host, so we couldn't really refuse. Needless to say lots of beer, punch and hard spirits were needed to keep us happy for those cat-mangling 30 minutes.
As a sign of retribution after the gig, a friend and I decided to hijack the makeshift stage, guitar and mike, and played to a now completely deserted audience our own bad, drunken renditions of Tenacious D and Elton John classics... as you do.
Oh and did stop by a local film festival to see 'Paradise Lost' and 'Crash' on my way home, which delayed my return by about 6 hours. Aaanyway, back now, and Will try to prod myself to stay awake for a few more hours. Maybe if I went and fetched some coffee.... mmmmmmmm..... coffee.
*runs off for a cup of caffeine goodness*
Oh and as for citizen and PR's luck: you jammy gits get jammier by the minute! Congrats though. As it's my first con not to mention Firefly event, I'm just looking forward to seeing the BDHs and meeting all you crazy folk.

So there I was, watching TV. Something I don't usually watch, but it was on and there wasn't anything better on.
Then I saw a familiar face... heard a familar voice. I was slightly surprised at my luck.

Too late, sadly. It was on Five, but it's over now. She was in one scene, as a friend-of-murdered-person character. It was like seeing her getting emotional at SF:S in April - just wanted to give her a big hug

I saw Badger on CSI once. He played the bad guy. The one that did the murder. That was weird. He had nearly the same accent too. Just no shiny hat.
And I watched the Stargate whatever with Jewel in it last night (actually taped it last night and watched it this morning). She looked really freaky and her costume/prosthetics (I thought) were awful. But as soon as she talked, you could tell it was her, even through the fake teeth.
I missed the last few minutes of the episode, though, my VCR cut off. But I wasn't really interesting in the show anyway, so I didn't really care.
