Serenity novel, Mirror Image (or not)

look at what just popped up in my Amazon.com recommendations:

it appears as though some novels based on the movie might be released some time next year, à la Buffy and Angel.

if this listing is acurate, and it is what I think it is, the first one, called "Mirror Image" will be released July 1st next year. it is written by Keith R. A. DeCandido, same guy who did the Serenity novelisation.

I'm not sure if I like this. the books of this type that I have read suck potatoes. most of the time they're like bad fanfiction. maybe Keith will do a good job, I don't know, but it worries me.

Trust me, Keith will more than do it justice. I've read a snippet of the Serenity novel, and it rocks. It'll be good, trust me.
