Some of you may have seen the 3DSMax model of Serenity I'm working on. I'm planning on using it for a few short(ish) animations of Serenity's 'life' before Mal. Working as a hospital evac ship or inserting commando's on enemy planets during the war, that sort of thing.
I recently had the idea of producing these animations in a kind of Japanese anime style (which I've liked for a while and now seems to be becoming popular).
Do ppl think this could work with the whole western frontier style of Firefly, I'm not sure, but I think it could be quite good.

Yes it can work. I'd love to see what you do. I love anime and I love Firefly so the combo is frankly mouthwatering for me!
Good luck. Incidently where's your 3dsmax model? I'd like to take a look.

Just a few JPEG work in progress renders in the bluesunroom at the moment - nearly got the external modelling finished, just finishing up the cargo bay now.
Still got the internal areas that can be seen (the cockpit and mess area, and the inside of the cargo bay) to do, as well as the shuttles. Still needs to be textured to.

Look at Trigun, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, plus many others that have that Firefly feel about them. I would go ahead and make your "serenamie".

Thanks MUTT, i'll be looking for those, found a few links and they look like the kind of thing I'm wanting to produce.
I know, Serenamie is kinda pretentious, the result of trying to be clever at work
