I thought my ego was getting a little out of control when I saw the photo - and of course lots of people have used Serenity in their t-shirt designs.

But hey! I was right so my ego can fly unchecked! Damned well need something to cheer me up this week (and Lordy, it's only Monday). Really should buy something from that store ready for November (OK, there's plenty of time to go, but CafePress could have closed all the stores down by then!)

I would kill, okay hurt, for that parasol. Shiny. You guys are going to have an awesome con! I'm jealous. I'm working on an Inara costume...someone should do that for the fancy dress, then we could be twins.

I am refraining from commenting on the book for a few days. I want to let it sink in a bit. That other thread covers everything anyways.

Jake was spell checking is e-book HBP and the program kept flagging 'wotcher' as misspelled. He asked me it if it was a word or a misspelling. I said it was a word. He asked me what kind of word. Then I realized I don't know. I've always assumed it was kinda like what's up or how's it goin. So, what is it?

Well, the normal spelling (aha!) over here is Wotcha and indeed it means "Hi!". It's from the 1400's when people would say "what chere be with you?" where 'chere' meant face or mood. Chere gradually became a word meaning "good humour", turning into Cheers and then five hundred odd years later, into a sitcom starring Rhea Perlman.

Hang on, that was all a bit sensible and informative, wasn't it? Er... chocolate! Jam! Squirrels!
