LA Browncoats

I thought a non-screening Browncoat gathering might be a fun thing to do as mentioned in another thread. Here were some suggestions I made:
There is a resturant in Burbank/Toluca Lake called "Sebastians" that has a back room you can rent out. The room has a flat screen plasma tv, pool table and comfy couches. They serve gourmet fries, sandwiches, salads and soups (price range is about $8-14). They cater to vegetarians and vegas as well as the meat eaters. They don't charge for renting the room. We could watch a couple of the episodes and meet fellow browncoats. Sebastians would be good for about 30-50 people.
There is always a Browncoat pot luck BBQ. Have fun little games and whatnot. I was at a Lord of the Rings one that was pretty fun. No reason why we couldn't do the same. We could even have a squirt gun shootout. This would be good for a really big group and could invite broawncoats from other web boards.
We could schedule it for the weekend after the comic starts or the action figures come out or just pick a random weekend that works. We could probably keep track of everyone the easiest through evite.
Other suggestions are more than welcome.

Sebastians sounds good to me. I have the next couple of months off. Therefore, I can come any weekend in June, July and the begining of August.

Any others in the LA area interested?

Does that plasma TV come with a good sound system? Can we turn it up loud? Will the bar complain if we sing The Ballad of Jayne?

It's a decent sound system and the room in the back is far enough from the main restaurant that we can sing pretty loud.

I checked with Sebastians and found out that because I'm a regular, pretty much any Saturday is open for me. So I was thinking either the last Saturday in July or the first in August.
I can book it from say six to midnight. If no one shows, then worse case I sit and watch 6 hours of Firefly on a big couch on a plasma screen eating the best gorrum fries in the 'verse.
So who's in?

Colour me "In". Both Saturdays, July 30 & August 6, look open so far.

I'll bring the episodes and I'm thinking of making the sign from Shindig opening to hang next to the pool table.
I'll give it a week and see if anyone else weighs in one way or another.
