I'm sure other people have linked this, but if we want to get the scalpers, can't we nail 'em with Ebay policy? Here's the scoop:

Seems they regulate this. For a 'regulated' state where either the seller or the buyer are the same state as the event, they won't allow bids past a very slim increase in cost (25% or so). Take Philly for instance (where I'm going):
Regulation: No more than face value plus the greater of 25% of the ticket price or $5
So, that's $2.50 more than around $10, or $12.50. Don't think a scalper's going to like that. If I'm in New Jersey (I am) and buy tickets (I won't!) from a scalper located NOT in PA, I guess we're out of luck - I could pay whatever. But if I'm IN PA, or THEY are, then it's a no-go.
Who enforces this on Ebay? They auto-check, I assume, but locations are flaky on the 'Net. Can we nail the scalpers at the site, by documenting and reporting to EBay? Or at LEAST let Ebay know that this is kinda rampant? I'd think a complaint from Universal would work...

But while we're at it it's "eBay" versus "e-mail" The first one being a proprietary company name and logo (like 3M). But that's okay - misspelling is already an insult. Like not capitalizing "fox" ...

Yes, I'm sure if 'versal decided they wanted to stop this, eBay would listen. Although it wouldn't hurt for hundreds or thousands of browncoats ebayers to register complaints through eBay's abuse reporting system, either...

Am pretty sure the screenings don't count as the film will be out in September for general release, and as such it is not an event (in the same way that a baseball game or a concert is)
