There's a very fine line between trying to help and being a pain. Becoming known in the forum universe is not going to help bring back Firefly. At all.
Email cast members telling them how to bring back the show - not going to help. Posting all over forums trying to get yourself known - not going to help.
Joss Whedon, Chris etc have very limited time. If you have actual ideas, post them here - if anything is new or extremely interesting I'll personally pass it on.
But on a crusade to be well known... Uhm. Write a book?

I may be missing something Symon but my understanding is that Fox owns the TV rights to Firefly for 10 years. You may want to check on that. I too hope that with the success all 3 Firefly movies perhaps Fox would be willing to give it another go or at least sell the rights for the TV series to a studio that "gets it", Universal perhaps would be willing to take the plunge.
I do agree with WhoIsRiver though, that being a pain to Joss and the cast is not the way to go. That's pretty much preaching to the choir. Write fan letters saying you support them and stuff but don't get all "tetchy".

There, there Symon, all the Browncoats go through it (I think) we want to pound Fox
for being STUPID and cancelling our BDH's. We want to tell Joss and the cast to do something (and they are) and we wonder why the Sci-Fi channel didn't buy the rights when Joss was marketing them after the show was first cancelled. Then we come to the conclusion we must go about spreading the word of Firefly in mature, adult ways. Like seeing the movie ten times over opening weekend so we get the numbers ($$$) for the movie trilogy, dragging non-Browncoat friends to see it, writing professional letters to Universal and Sci-Fi channel, attending conventions that our BDH's are at and supporting them etc. Dong ma?
PS Now I'll go read your essay

I read your essay, Symon. You get your frustration across over Firefly's cancellation very well. Choose wisely your path on how best to serve Firefly. You may want to take note of a message from Joss somewhere in this site addressed to some negative Browncoats who said some not nice things to some of the theater managers when they couldn't get tickets to the preview of Serenity a couple of weeks ago. I believe these fans are a small minority and it was the frustration talking but we need to be better than that.
As an FYI, be careful when you cut and paste, you have the same paragraph about our heroes grabbing your heart in there twice.
