These Fraking Panties
Monday, 04 September 2006 00:20:00

We all have them. Ones that just don't stay were they should be. What is up with that? I need new ones. Should I just stay away from thongs? Maybe I'll just start wearing boxers. Although they probably won't be very flattering when it comes to my ass...But who gives a sh*t anyway, right?

Late, or early...

I would have called earlier, but I got distracted by my studies. It's a bit of computerese that not too many people know, or care, or stop a minute to understand, at least on a basic level. A typical baby boomer might say-"Oh, all the young generation is into it, because only they can understand it." Ah, well...No. People think the players and creaters are the same. The same baby boomers are the ones who made this possible. Eh. Just had a little rant. I had to sit by some guy who went on about the internet, porn, and video games (the last of which he says he plays). He mentioned something about a generation gap. Can't be much of a gap if he's doing everything a 15 year old would do. My two cents...

Woke up, went to check my e-mail and all and found this.

Wrong kind of dial-up on the tracks

There may be a short delay between postings - tomorrow I am going to attempt to update my hamster-box for something with a broadband connection. It is taking soooo long to load at home that I can't stay in touch with folks. I am also finding that my e-mail notification and such is not happening. :crap: Whether that is my machine or the site, I don't know. But...apologies to folks for the delays. I have a plot - and it's mine, I tell you, all mine. I'm finding so many coincidences out there, that I'm gonna get me a little tin-foil hat, stop them readin' my thoughts. What can I say? Paranoia just means that you haven't caught them watching you yet.

Please forgive me for my trollish behaviour this morning
Monday, 04 September 2006 20:43:44

This morning, after almost two years of patronage to this site, I did an incredibly stupid thing. I made fun of the death of Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter. A combination of early morning drowsiness, a black sense of humor and not being too big a fan of The Crocodile Hunter made me say that his death was mildly funny. I now realize that it wasn't. It was a stupid, pointless death that has robbed the world of probably the most famous nature expert in the world today. It was a blunder of Mel Gibson-like proportions, and I am deeply sorry for it. The ironic thing is that now that the summer's over, I've actually began work last night on the long overdue Chapter 10 of YOU CAN'T GO HOME AGAIN. And I'd hate to be banished from a site I religiously check over a momentary lapse into troll behaviour. I've come too far in my story to just forget about it. I have to get it out of me. I hope that you folks will forgive me for my trollish behaviour and allow me to post future chapters of my story here. And to whoever runs the site, could you please take down the blog in discussion? I've tried to delete it a number of times, and it won't go away.

Oh dear, oh dear. Oh me oh my, how the time does fly by... So apparently I've been lurking for the past few months, and it seemed high time to at least drop by and say ni hao to all the shiny Browncoats (still the prettiest fans in all the 'verse, I'm sure.) Anyhoo, I've been busy with being in love with a wonderful lovely girl, which tends to cut back on my free time a tad. (I know, I know... :vomit: but I had to say it :) On the plus side, though, I've had no trouble at all converting her to the 'verse. (I've found Serenity makes for a rather reliable date movie.) And how shiny is this? My b-day present from her this year was a nifty Serenity Zippo lighter :P What else... well, I'm pleased to report another few converts to the cause. My strategy of planting little seeds of interest in my friends has been paying off finally. Took alot of waiting, and trying very hard not to be too pushy, but I've finally got all of them hooked on the show. Most now have their own box sets, and I've even got my little sister hooked lately. She was actually a hard sell, really. She goes for the reality shows, and the Lifetime network, etc. Not too much into Sci-fi. But she ended up getting stuck with us watching a few shows, and the next thing we knew she'd fallen in love with the characters, and couldn't wait to watch another episode to see what would happen to them next! Okay, so... apparently while I've been gone for some time, I still haven't lost my knack for going off on tangents... Oh well, that's why I figured I'd write out a log entry instead of trying to thread-jack the boards with all this :P Stay shiny, all you lovely 'coats, and keep up the good work. Here's one grunt that's still in for the long haul. Proud to be a Browncoat, and it's been an honor and a priviledge to hold the line with such shiny people as all of you :P

As I haven't found a 'favorites' function yet, I expect that this blog will primarily consist of fanfics I loved from this site. They'll be listed as follows: Title Author Pairing Length, chapters Link This is so I don't clog up my del.icio.us account with a hundred firefly fanfics; I can just mark the site fff.net. :smokin:

bombs..er...fanifics away!

Just dropped off two new stories I've been working on. Continuations of the first story. Two more to follow, but I don't want to be rude about posting too much at one time. Thanks for the feedback I've been getting. Ratings are ego-boosting but unecessary. I like hearing what people do like, and what they don't. It's kind of a shock to realize that over 300 people (not one of them being my mother) have read something I've done and I haven't gotten any really harsh criticism yet. The plot's getting a little thicker, and I'm trying to develop *my* view of what's likely to happen in the 'verse. I've got some Ideas for pulling Inara back into the story line, but not quite sure what I'll do with it.
