I've been away from Fireflyfans.net for far too long. Things have been out of control lately at home. What with mom being sick and me taking her to the hospital for her chemo treatments and her rehydration, then grandmom with her surgery coming up, I'm spending more and more time out of the house than ever. Neither one of them can really do housework, so I'm finding myself cleaning three houses some weeks. It's no wonder this past weekend I did over ten loads of laundry in two days. My house is falling apart at the seams, but I am content in knowing that my mom and my grandmom are taken care of. Now if only my aunts and uncles would help pick up some slack from time to time, it'd free me up some. Even my mom said today that I do more than most of my aunts and uncles. There are 12 of them besides my mom, after all! (that doesn't even include spouses) And I think I bit off more than I can chew sometimes on the 'internet' front. MalNourished, FollowMal and I are gathering info for a business idea. I'm also trying to do some Moonlight Rising stuff. Everything's just being juggled as best it can, so please don't expect too much from me? Between the kids and everything I've committed to, what you get from me is what you get. :) Sorry it's not A-1 top quality, but it's the best I can do for now, I promise. Back to the title of the post... Asarian asked for more fanfic, so I'll be working on that a bit tonight. I did visit the library for some helpful hints on writing short stories. One of them was written by Dean Koontz, and so far it's been fairly helpful. I'm still stuck on a slight story hiccup but I'm hoping it'll iron itself out eventually. I can't promise anything'll be ready tonight, maybe I'll change it up a bit and send it to beta FIRST! LOL

Once again, here I am to actually *wince* socialize. or something like it. Anyhoo, I just watched King Kong for the first time. All 183 minutes of it. IMO, I think they added too much in. All that stuff with the bugs and sluggy-things down in the ravine, and then in New York on the ice in ?Central Park? Cute, but not exactly necessary. And for some reason, I thought the Empire State building looked like Big Ben, and Kong looked like my dog. You heard me right, my dog. For those of you who care, I'm about half way through chapter 1 of Pirates of the 23rd Century. It is very, very, long. I'm not too pleased with the title at the moment, so I'm open to suggestions. And, for all the world to hear, I'm saying GO TO HELL, DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!!!! THE SPECIAL HELL!!!!! Now that that's out of my system, I believe I need to *falls asleep*

After umpteen cover roughs and four finished Angel covers the Guys at IDW are harboring doubts as to if they'll fit in with what they're trying to do..Well I've done my best and most detailed work on the finished covers..I can't do any better... so now it's up to IDW..The Sulaco studio guys are trying to convince them but it doesn't look too good...In fact I was told not to produce anymore covers untill further notice So keep what ever crossed you guys cross and hope IDW gives me chance..I'm not going out this time without a fight... On the plus side I was offered a pinup in the european edition of the serenity tpb..I'll just have to wow them even more... Sometimes you just feel overwhelmed, and then someone says something nice and it makes your problems seem not so bad after all. I knew Browncoats were a shiny folk, but just the responses from my last log had me smiling today. There are days when things just pile on a little too high. You don't think that a small compliment or a short word of encouragement has any effect, but it truly does.
