I'm hunting for a beta reader. Would someone be willing to read my little pieces of fiction?

I think this is my first ever fanfic submitted here. Cool! It isnt mine, but I found it and whenever I find a good fic I have to let other people know. The suspense just builds and builds to...you'll just have to read it! I'll admit it, my heart dropped at moments reading it for the first time. So, Enjoy!

I finally have it! I have been racking my brain, see people who know me here know of my Jayne obsession and I've been ponderin on this obsession, coz well he is actually as far removed from my type as you can get. But I have finally worked it out (this is after watching Jaynestown and Our Mrs Reynolds and a few other choice Jayne moments) and I got it. Reason 1: Guns. Actually weapons in general, I love them and the man has more than a couple, if he can take such amazing care of Vera imagine if he turned that attention on someone he was sweet on. Reason 2: Hands. His hands are strong and almost rough, makes him look like he's done more than his fair share of hard labour- Hard worker could mean he's dedicated and I admire dedication. Reason 3: He call's a spade a spade. Honesty, especially in it's most blunt form is a quality I prize. Reason 4: His jaw line. I didn't actually think to pay close attention to it until I saw a close-up picture of him and it's so sharp it could cut butter. As a final note of interest, he shares all of these fine qualities with my fiancee, who unfortuantely isn't around atm, which is probably why I'm thinkin on this now. Hope everyone has a shiny new year!

It's new year's eve, folks. Here in Iraq it's just another day, only special because it's one more day closer to coming home. Here on the edge of our world, our western world, our US American world, we are thankful for many things. Hot water. Hot food. A warm place to sleep. Coffee in the morning. Brothers you've shared a year of your life with. Shit that no one else will ever understand. All those important things back in the world don't mean too much out here. When you don't have much, a little bit seems like a pretty good deal. So my resolutions are this: Take the world a whole lot less seriously. Be a better husband and father. Be a better person to those people around me. Thank God every morning that I am still here. You all have a great New Year's eve. dutch, out.
