You know that person who reads the fics and the forums, and looks at the pictures, but doesn't actually contribute to the discussions or the art? I have become that person. I feel so ashamed! I fear that my browncoat will be revoked! I blame college. Time consuming, brain imploding, just makes want to curl up in a ball and sleep for a week college. I'm really fed up with school, and now that the weather is nice, all I want to do is...stay inside talk to all you shiny people, lol. I'm seriously ready to be done, but alas I have a over a month left of classes. Grrr.

Well, it turns out that after I get back from the wedding tomorrow, I have to leave town AGAIN to go a family reunion. That means Chapter 2 may not be up until the weekend or Monday at the latest. Sorry for the delays (or you can thank God that you don't make your eyes bleed reading it) but it's beyond my control. ~WG out

At Collectormania 9 this weekend, Alan Tudyk revealed that Joss had told him that Wash and Book would both be in a sequel to Serenity, if it happens. Alan was speaking at a panel talk on Sunday April 30th where he was joined by Ron Glass. When asked if the two would consider being a part of the sequel, Alan replied that he had been told both characters would return in any second film. I found this bit here:

Well today at work I was told that I was to change shifts. I am moving from swing shift (1600-0000 hrs) to days (0800-1600 hrs). The reason for this move is somewhat political by persons in charge of my job. They are under the belief that if I was moved to another shift, I would get mad and do something stupid but this change is in my favor. Because my wife and I are adopting a child from China and one of the things that we talked about was child care. My wife and I both work the same time shift so we would have to pay a baby sitter to watch our child for eight or more hours but now that I am moving shifts we would only have to pay for two hours or less for only three days. What my bosses thought was going to be a punishment changed into a windfall for me.

So, I've turned in the two projects I've been slaving over this past month. All I've got left are two finals...which are basically just unit exams instead of those cumulative beasts--thank God. Unfortunately all that occurs NEXT week. In the meanwhile, I'm absolutely burnt out. This is largely in part due to the University of Hawaii at Manoa having one of the longest--if not not THE longest (back in '93, we did--semester of all the universities. I am gonna be so grateful for summer. So, so, SO grateful... Until my brain reboots, I'm busy killing zombies in

It's incredible how things never go smooth. It's really hard to keep on flyin', but we have to be strong. What doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. At least I hope so. There must be a way to turn things better.

Lo, all... It's been good the past few days... Sold my Playstation 2 (my DVD player, practically) and returned Firefly and Serenity to my friend... Worst moment of my life! Been working on the fanfic and such... Not an everyday activity, so its coming along at a snails pace. Hopefully I won't be so lazy at doing art for particular scenes and such, but first, I gotta learn how to do the characters easy, which could take a while... Dah, well. Stay shiny, and remember-

Ugh. Updated my website again last night/this morning. Only three stories this time, since I just updated 4/30, but still it took me nearly 15 minutes. I wish I could use eFiction or similar, but I can't justify the expense to pay for hosting that will allow it. Besides, that's more work anyway. I do think I need a redesign. Yay for CSS. For those who care, the website is here:

God, I need this week to be over. Another round of Stargate, hopefully Buffy Season 7, and I can finally get down and upload a new chapter. Hopefully. By the way, I love my feedback, so if you like what you read (Or see, now I've uploaded my first picture), leave feedback. If you don't like it, leave feedback anyway. I like feedback.

Feeling a might goofy lately. Always get like this once I'm sure there isn't going to be any snowfall for at least another year. Just feeling downright shiny lately (in spite of a lingering case of strep throat :) And it must be spring 'cause I've started seeing a girl I know from work. I'm one of those guys who doesn't do the whole "relationship" thing too often, but I'm trying to give this a go. Been "off the market" for a good long time, but when a good thing comes along... (Why is it this always happens when I tell myself I'm specifically not looking for a g/f?) Good news for me is she's a total geek like myself, which is a nice change of pace. Bodes well if we can entertain each other watching TV all day and not run out of stuff to talk about. Not used to having a girlfriend where we actually have some things in common :P Plus I've got her hooked on Firefly now. Nice change for me, actually being able to watch the series with someone else. Especially shiny seeing someone watch them for the first time. Got a couple graphics projects in the works, a few of them Firefly-related, just a matter of actually getting them done. (Thank Whedon for the podcasts to keep me busy on the computer :) Keep getting sidetracked by more lunchbox ideas, sort of as something to do when I get bored of the others. Might be a long time in the works, but I've got an idea for a little comic series set in the 'verse. Still mostly brainstorming that, though, and it ain't something I do very quickly... Anyways, looks like the board here is getting back to it's shiny old self :) Missed a couple days, and it seems like maybe a couple items are still up in the air re: Serenity Day/ Serenity Summer but still shiny to see the storm starting to lift :) Holdin', NuClearDay

Finals really suck the life outta my muse, the lil fella's all shriveled and comatose... it really sucks. He really came alive in biology class, that is where I wrote most of my Firefly fanfictions. Odd. But now, no more biology, ever. Which is good. I just hope my muse finds another outlet. It makes me sad to be so write-less. I cannot do it without him. really, it is quite pitiful. However, I have it on good authority that he loves reviews and suggestions. So help me out and encourage the muse. Cos he knows best. now back to finals... oh yes, Africa is a big country... I know Africa is a continent! AgentRusco out.

Wow… Where to begin? How about mentioning that I just spent the past 20 minutes on my knees in prayer. Now…let me make sure you guys understand something about me. I am deeply religious, and deeply faithful. I am a Christian. I have no problem sharing that detail of my life with those around me. I will NOT, however, shove it down anyone’s throat. I always admired that about Sheperd Book…surrounded by ‘heathens a-plenty, right here’, but was never more than a gentle nudge in the heavenly direction. Like Book, I share my faith when asked, and try not to make people uncomfortable with it otherwise. That’s the quickest way for them to shut down. I digress. I spent the past 20 minutes on my knees in earnest prayer because of an unexpected visitor today. A kid named Brandon. Brandon had been assigned to me when I used to run a Boot Camp for Juvenile Offenders here in North Carolina. Brandon was actually a pretty good kid who just needed direction and discipline. After graduating from my program, he went on to complete High School and joined the Army. He just came by today to tell me he’s going to Iraq. Just typing those words cause my throat to close…my vision blurs… I felt myself ‘shut down’ parts of my brain, most of my emotions… I immediately shifted from grinning at a young man who’d become a friend, back to the stern, ‘business is business’ Drill Instructor he had known for 10 weeks. I think he saw what I was doing, trying so hard to stay strong in front of him so his own confidence and resolve would not waver. I shook his hand and told him to be careful, and that I fully expected him to return here to speak to my current cadets about his experiences there. Then I came into my office, shut and locked the door and quietly fell apart. His name is Brandon. He’s in the 3rd Infantry Division, and he’s going to Iraq. He has a wife and a young daughter. As wrong as it is for me to ask you to make any one soldier overseas ‘special’, God, pay special attention to this one, please. ANYONE who would like to contact me via email or telephone to share a brief prayer with me, please do so. You are all welcome.

So, I put up Part 12 B of Choices last night... even thought my Internet was completely unreliable and I wasn't able to do anything else at all ... there was much whining and yelling and cojolling at the computer, alas, to no effect... It looks like there will be one more part to Choices, Part 13 (though who knows exactly how many A, B's or C's there'll be after that number) and then likely an Epilogue. Phew... hard to believe it's come this far... over 45,000 words. For me, that number seems amazing. I've never written one story that was that long before, ever... and the fact that it still seems to be working, and in fact seems to have gotten better as I went along... it just blows me away. Anyway, big reveal at the end, and kudos to those of you who guessed right way back when... had me tearing out my hair between wanting to message you all and say "yes yes yes! You're right!" and curse you all at the same time for putting the idea out there for others to think on *G* Ah, well... Thank-you those wonderful readers who continue to support me and this story, I couldn't have done it without you. I love you guys!
