let me point out that in the last 36 (or more) hours i've had about 3 hours of sleep (and thats a half hour or so at a time, not all at once) due to a 2 day theater trip thing. On this trip thing I found myself sitting in another girls lap because...well...i don't remember why...i just was. This guy comes by and goes "so hot." and begs us to kiss. He even offered money and a few guys pooled their meager amounts of money together to see us kiss. I would have taken it. My freind wouldn't do it though. Not even for money. But thats not the point. Or maybe it is, i honstly don't remember. anywhoo, any guys wanna explain to me why two girls kissing is hot? and i also need to know why the room feels like its spinning around, and how to make it stop. but the kissing girls thing first. Did i mention my utter lack of sleep? and the room...its spinning.

Hiya, fellow browncoats! Haven't been in in a while (I skipped a whole week) due to family emergencies and work on a first time project of mine. I was sitting at work one day listening to Bonny Portmore on the headphones. That's from [i]Highlander[/i] fame for those of you who don't know. Well, technically, [i]Highlander III[/i]. But anyway, as I was listening to it visions of dramatic moments from [i]Firefly[/i] came into my head. Key moments, really, in slow motion. And suddenly I thought, "This would make a great video." So, since I have no experience in this area I've been working on it with a friend of mine who is experienced in such matters. Matter of fact, it's the same friend who pointed out to me for the first time [i]Firefly[/i] reminded him of [i]Cowboy Bebop[/i]. It's been quite a circus. I finally realized that trying to take scenes from the entire series was just too big a bite for me to try and chew on my first tasting. Instead, I'm taking scenes from "The Message" and kind of doing a whole 'telling of the story with video and playing it to music and cramming it into six minutes' kind of thing. We've got half of it done so far and I'm very pleased with it. I've been thinking of sending it to Joss himself when we're finally through to get a blessing kind of thing from him. I want it to be clear that I'm in no way trying to get money, infringe on any copyrights, or disrespect the series in any way. I love this show and for the first time in my life I'm doing something creative in this form of medium to try and get a fraction of that across to others. I was wanting to put it here since this is like my home page and all. I'm not sure if the site would accept it. I've never seen any video of any kind here, but I also have a really old and crappy PC that doesn't have video or audio capability. That and I wasn't exactly sure how it would be taken. If it's a success, however, I've already got a follow-up that would focus on the humor and action the same as this one's focusing on the drama. The song's "Hair of the Dog" by [i]Nazareth[/i]. Well, let me go and try and finish this thing by next week so's that I can be praised or flamed for it. I'm doing my best not to let anybody down. Give me some feedback and let me know what you think of the idea, anyway. :biggrin:
