Well, on Tuesday this week (which was the 22nd) I had been here a whole year! Its been a marvellous year and I've really enjoyed getting to know many of you! And I look forward to getting to know many many more of you over what I hope will be many more years here! If it weren't for this site, well...things in my life would be rather different right now. For a start, I wouldn't have as many friends as I do. And I'd be missing some truly great ones. And...I never ever would have gone to the Serenity convention in April...which just started a kind of whirlwind crazy con-addiction which ended up in me meeting the whole cast, which has been AMAZING. I never would have gotten 3 hugs from Summer. Not to mention 4 hugs and 4 kisses from Jewel! I never would have touched Sean. Never would have made Morena laugh. I wouldn't be going to the Flanvention in 11 days! I never would have met someone who I really really like a lot right now. And I wouldn't have had nearly as much fun this year as I have. Now....thank you's... First, thank you very much to Haken, for doing such a great job running my favourite website. Thank you very very very much to EvilBunnies, who introduced me to Firefly. I love it so so much and am eternally grateful to you for introducing me to it! And thank you very very very much to all of TEAM RANDOM! You guys are great. You give me so much fun and you always make me smile and laugh, you make me feel special and I know that there's always someone I turn to who will listen and understand. And thank you to everone on the TREE! I have had so much fun in those threads. And tommorrow (the 27th) is my one year TREE anniversary! Thank you all! *Raises a glass to a year of fun!* *Downs it* P.S. Dont worry Fray101, CallMeSerenity, it was only coke.

Why is is that you can always find distractions to exploit while you're supposed to be working on something incredibly important. I have a 20 page essay that I'm supposed to be working on that's due on Tuesday. I only have about 5 pages of it written so far, and it'll be a Herculean task for me to get the other 5 done by midnight. So far, over the course of the last two days, I've slept, slept some more, walked, worked on a group thing that in the grand scheme of things I didn't have much involvement with, watched movies, DVD's, roleplayed, ate and all sorts of stuff that has kept me from finishing this essay up as soon as possible. Despite pulling late nighters and having caffeince cocktails (two sugarless Red Bulls and a 24 oz black coffee), I still can't seem to finish it. I get started, but I get sidetracked easily as soon as I get a good momentum going. Why the fuck am I even writing this? I should get back to work. If you're going to respond to this, have your responses be more on the lines of "WHY ARE YOU READING THIS. GET BACK TO WORK, YOU LAZY BASTARD."

I'd like to welcome all the people who have recently come to this great 'verse of ours. You will meet many fans, crazys and Firefly Junkies who can quote episodes by heart. Some of us can quote chinese references by heart. Here's my Beef: I sense that we are holding back to writing opinions because we're afraid to spoil someone else's fun. Spoilers are things you know early on and are kind-of expected to keep to your self. But if you're new and don't want others to rob you of your Discovery of a precious FF moments...GET AWAY FROM THIS BOARD ! I'm not for unification. I despise the concept of fascism. But could we all agree that if you held back from running after cars, you wouldn't get run over. And we could all drive around like normal people... Pffff, that felt good. Harsh, though. No, it was harsh... You can tell me...

Us Fans can do this fans can bring the show back. Watch the reruns on SciFi and buy the entire season of FireFly on DVD, Go see Serenity in the theatre's or wait till it comes out on DVD or why not just do both. The fans of family guy brought by the show do to the high DVD sales and the Fans of STArgate SG-1 brought back the show by high ratings of the reruns on the SciFi channel. So do the same if those other fans can do it so can we.

If anyone can tell me what my house looks like, I’d LOVE to know! Yes, I’m in the office again!! It’s Sunday afternoon and its already dark outside and I haven’t had a day off in 3 weeks … Junior doctors be damned – at least when they work long hours they get the heartfelt thanks of little old ladies, candy from children and everyone’s respect for doing a “sterling job” – What do we lawyers get? That’s right (go to the top of the class), we get the following: 1) The disapprobation of the world. Only estate agents (realtors for you Americans out there) are considered lower on the evolutionary scale (at least here in the UK); and 2) Complaints by our crappy clients that we charge them too much for our services. Really, I wouldn’t have to be here today, were it not for the inability of the “compliance officer” in my client company to actually COMPLY with UK law – gorramit – the clue is in his job title, for heaven’s sake!! Anyhoo, rant over… If anyone would like to describe to me the lovely way they are enjoying their Sunday afternoon (in their own home or out with friends), so that I can live vicariously through them, I would not be averse to reading it!!

Why Wash? Why the Shepherd? Why take perfectly innocent people and kill them off in the space of a second? Okay, true, for all we know, Book might not be "perfectly innocent," considering we don't know his history, but Wash....Who knows. Why we need a second movie or, preferably, another series/season: to see the effect of these deaths, the effect of Mal leaving the Operative alive, of Mal showing the 'verse Miranda. We need to see how Zoe deals, how the ship is still piloted without Wash's magic skills, if the Operative will come back to "haunt" the crew for Mal's pity--some call it stupidity--and how River fits in with the crew now. How will the Alliance function now that the 'verse knows its deepest, literally darkest secret? All these, and more, were left with us at the end of the BDM. Will our BDH's make it through another day, while love keeps her in the air when she should fall down? Here's hoping for answers to these questions.
