Let's see. The movie came out in 2005 ish, and I started lurking here when I found Serenity at Blockbuster and someone at the desk pointed out the series it came from and we watched it all in one weekend... Which was about a year after it came out... And as soon as I got done watching I came here, and the rest is a long weird history. Never did have much to do with blogs though...
