I am making a comment this Christmas to purchase a minimum of five Serenity DVD’s to use as gifts for those not familiar the Firefly universe. Anytime I get into A “Secret Santa” or “only send $20 bucks on me” situation their gett’n the DVD! It would be awesome if all the Browncoats could get together and buy at least three and do the same. Kind of a grass roots campaign to spread the greatness of Firefly to all those lost souls……. If this has been mentioned before my bad

Once you get a taste there is no way to stop, not even if you wanted to. I find myself constantly checking for updates in the Blue Sun Room. Reading fanfic has become a massive distraction for me. If I'm on my computer, chances are I'm reading some. Oh and is anyone else out there as addicted to misskitten's "Pretty...Pretty" series? I'm jonesin' for another installment. Tralala, reading fanfic is fun, and as a result I am now seriously behind on all my homework

Okay, so, Anthony has the day off and I think I frustrate him a tad. It's Tuesday, which means it's also Tight Ass Tuesday, ie - half price movie tickets at the cinemas. Anthony: Wanna see a movie? Me: Cool. Anthony: What do you want to see? Me: Serenity? Anthony: No, you've already seen it eight times. Me: Fine, then, whatever you want to see. Anthony: I want you to choose. Me: I choose Serenity. Anthony: I'm *not* driving an hour to the only cinemas still playing it. Me: What do you want to see? Anthony: Wolf Creek or Saw II. Me: Either sounds good, you choose. Anthony: No, you choose. Me: Serenity. Anthony: NO GODDAMMIT!!! Me: *giggle*

In an attempt to keep my son from wrecking the show his daddy is recording, I played "Out of Gas" with the Spanish audio and English subtitles. See, my dear husband has the TV routed through the VCR, so you can't change the channel without changing it on the VCR. And my boy wanted to watch TV. The Spanish Mal I think was the closest to the real actor when compared to all the other voices and their counterparts, although to be fair I wasn't paying close attention, because taking care of a 2-year old toward bedtimes takes my attention away from the story a bit. Why did I choose the Spanish audio? I'm trying to expose my son to the Spanish language, since all he hears is English (and some Japanese from my Inuyasha theme songs.) I'm hoping he can learn a second language while he's still young, but I may be hoping for too much.

A theatre that I'm going to on sunday... www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&address=1506+Eastport+Dr+Se&city=grand+rapids&state=mi&zipcode= Surrounded by "Cobb Dr." and "Saffron Ln." I find this incredibly humorous. Of course, it's been a long day, and I'm very tired. :P Nite.

Lawyers can be mean, no, no, really they can … So, any of you avidly following my progress in my bid to make my workplace more exciting, will know that yesterday I nicked my friend Jonathan’s Supaclip and sent a ransom note… Things deteriorated quickly … no sooner had Jonathan issued a Police press release with details of the suspected perpetrator, than he received a further message through the internal mail (yes, folks, me again) with a photocopy of his Supaclip, attached to a speech bubble saying “Daddy, where are you? It’s so dark …. Sooo dark… sob…” and the hideous words “you shouldn’t have called the police” scrawled across the bottom in a spidery hand … This caused a further “police” report and then – shock horror – when I came back from lunch, my little flip flap was missing. Flip flap is a plastic plant that flip flaps on my window sill. Eventually we agreed to have a cold war style hand over which was hampered some what by our discovery, when we tried to release Supaclip and Flip Flap at opposite ends of a corridor, that neither of them could walk (John Le Carre would not have been impressed) …. So today I’m looking for less-likely-to-backfire ways to enliven my office … And rest assured that, although somewhat traumatised by his kidnap, Flip Flap is now, slowly, learning to flip flap again …

The title says it all. First mom becomes ill and then last night Gram had a stroke! Geez. She will be fine but she won't be able to make pies this year. Darn, I was looking forward to that cherry cobbler. I just want New Years to get here. So lets see what else the universe can throw at me. Bring it on! Ash

So I promised myself I wouldn't do this and yet here I am contemplating writing up the best weekend ever! I'm not going to do that though, instead I thought I would recount some of the highlights from the weekend that was Serenity Squared. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined a Convention would be so much fun. But I somehow found myself driving into the Raddisson on Friday afternoon equal parts excited and petrified. So here are some things I learned. And some of my favourite moments. I’ve learned; - Sean Maher's first Chinese phrase was shuh muh?” - Morena has the mouth of a trucker. - Ron Glass is hi-larious drunk. - Joss is boss. - If it goes wrong it’s Summer’s fault. I’ve learned that Morena burnt her cleavage during the filming of Book’s death scene but I also learned that we didn’t hear that from Jewel. Nathan – “I did however burn the top of my head.” Jewel – “Yeah I burnt my parting. Morena burnt her cleavage. She put sunblock everywhere else but not there. Except you didn’t hear that from me.” Nathan – “Yeah she wouldn’t let us kiss her there for like a week.” Sean – “It was a looong week!” I learned that Nathan bought Summer a pumpkin carving kit and that the advances in pumpkin carving technology are just astounding. I learned it is possible to get up in front of your heroes, ask them a question and not wet yourself with fear. If I had done nothing else all weekend, Nathan singing me a song, Summer telling me I had a nice top and Jewel saying I looked good in my photo would have been worth the price of a ticket. I’ve learned what bukkake means. (Please don’t ask me!) Sean – “Bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch” “I love you Nathan” I learned that Sean is an absolute star. How he signed all those autographs is beyond me. I learned Jewel’s mum is a sweetheart. Johnny Wallet and the church of the 11 fingers is so much better than regular church. It has whisky and everything. But it ain’t good for a hangover. I learned Michelangelo is a bit of a whore. I learned that Nathan can’t be sarcastic coz he’s too stupid for that! Someone was sick! I know nothing. Couldn’t tell ya. Bet the cleaners could though! Falling through a stack of chairs during the closing ceremony is not a good idea. Sean has the nicest hands!! Someone should have remembered that the contents of a water bottle is not always water. The gag reel was genius. Anything Firefly/Serenity related was gonna be a big hit though really. Nathan to crew guy – “So, if you could recast any actor on the film who would it be?” Crew guy – “Probably….. Nathan. Because he has many, many talents but none of them are acting. Con goers are such friendly people. When Jonathan brings whiskey, he never brings enough. On purpose! I’m sooo jealous of Matt. Summer knows him by name and everything. He is such a tease. What will she say in two weeks time? I learned that for 5 star hotel the Raddison certainly believes in air conditioning. Song of the con… 'Brrr, it’s cold in here.' The last song of the final disco of the greatest weekend ever should not have been ‘I’ve had the time of my life’. I told you all I was gonna cry. So, there are so many other things that were great about last weekend I couldn’t write them all down. But one other thing that’s for certain is that if there’s a Serenity3… I’m there. I wouldn’t have missed the last one for the world. Bukkake!! Much love Alison x-x-x-x

Well officially this is the *#%*& week, day, month, ever. I can't make this crap up. I have just been informed by my aunt that my OTHER grandmother just went into the hospital about an hour ago. I think my Grandmothers are in it together. Ha ha lets have the kids panic! Wheee what fun. I have no idea what is wrong with her. I am trying to get a hold of my dad but he is in the process of switching phone people. So he doesn't even know yet. Hell I even sent him an email and then realized DUH no phone equals no internet. So after work I plan to go to my dad's to let him know and then I will go home and hide under my covers.
