So after months owning Bonnie & Clyde my 2 Bourke's Parrot's, it looks like there going to have baby Bourkies. Yeay so excited. My first time breeding Bourke's. But I have bred over 40 budgies so I have hope in Bonnie and I feel she's gonna be a great mum. So I will know in about 20 days or so if I'm gonna have baby Bourke's Parrots.

Well, I'm all moved in at college and, now that things seem to be gettin' back to manageable, I think I'm ready to pick back up with Blue Moon: Episode 5. Hope the long wait hasn't destroyed my reputation with whatever fans I had in the first place… Regardless, go ahead and read it. It's got cats. And swearing.

So, not very often I do this -- become a member of a site -- but honestly, out of the many movies or areas of interest I have, Firefly is one of my favorites. It started awhile back actually with my finding out about the show through an Alan Tudyk site (I love him :biggrin:). It interested me and I really wanted to see it after that, though I don't believe it was out yet on DVD. When the movie came out I wanted to see it but I didn't want to watch it without seeing the show first -- wouldn't be right that way. So I was ecstatic when my mother knew a friend that had the complete season of Firefly. I watched all of it with my mom and my sister in the span of about three days, saw the movie and knew I needed to own both. I'm not even going to try to describe how much I love this show; I've watched it numerous times over, I love all the characters, know all the lines, etc, as any fan should. And I am definitely that! :biggrin: I was online looking up Firefly, found this site, and I registered, hoping to find more people with my interests in general, and of course, my interest in this incredible show (though I'd be happy to discuss only the show forever) heehee. As far as me goes, I love to sing, act, draw, read, and write; I love music and movies, and I have plans on becoming a singer, an actress, or a writer of fantasy books. I am hopelessly obsessed with Firefly and Serenity, and I plan on being here a lot. (By the way, I just finished watching the series and the movie for the millionth time just under two hours ago *is happy*) Well, farewell for now, and I love all of you fans out there because you're oh so smart for appreciating this awesome show!! (I know, I know; I'm such a ruttin’ suck-up...)

So, watching the marathon on Scifi and the movie on HBO, and I can switch back and forth during commercials and whatnot. I'm just soooo happy right now. So, I've got to get back to it, yeah, just thought I'd catch you up on that.

Hey All Well, last night I finally got through season 5 of ANGEL. It was a true roller coaster of emotions and thought the last scene truly crystalized the whole point of the show. And I was watching and listening to the special features of the DVD and hearing Joss talk about how he prefers to use fantasy to examine the real world and the quote about he doesn't want to make "grown-up" shows. And I wholeheartedly agree with the former sentiment and the proof is in the pudding. But I can't help but feel a bit isolated by throwing myself into Jossworld and this site and all that. It's just that, while I do enjoy sci-fi and fantasy (especially stuff done this well), I actually happen to like some of the "grown-up" stuff that no one seems to mention here. I love indie films and stuff that gets their premieres at film festivals like Sundance, Cannes and Toronto. I love political documentaries, as well as rockumentaries. The cable channel I'm getting more and more into nowadays is Turner Classic Movies. At first, I was dubious about the claim, but every time I see it, I'm closer and closer to believing that CITIZEN KANE truly is the greatest movie of all time. I love shows like 24, THE OFFICE, SIX FEET UNDER and THE SOPRANOS. Last night, I saw the premiere of STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP and loved every minute of it and can't wait to see the next episode. It's weird, as I get older, I find myself drawn more to I guess more actual grown-up stuff. I seek out true substance over style. Even though my dream project as a filmmaker is to turn the comic book BONE into either a $100 million dollar HBO miniseries, or an animatedserise akin to BATMAN: TAS, my mission statement is to find the extraordinary within the ordinary, because I think people can identify with those stories far more than a group of random people stopping the apocalypse for the umpteenth time. But I get the sense that if I try to spark up a discussion about any of these things here, that I'd be getting the cold shoulder. That unless if it has anyone from Joss's camp involved with it, than it's sub-par and below our standards. Am I alone in this? In order to have a discussion about any of these things, do I have to go to another site, or can I have my cake and eat it too by staying with this site? Does anyone here share my fascination with anything on the above list? Or should all my future posts only involve FIREFLY or anything sci-fi related?

My husband just requested less babies and bees and more scary stuff. This sounds like a challenge. Bwah-hah-hah-hah!! Mine is an evil post-migraine-hangover laugh. You know, very quiet but with a definite edge of malice...followed by an "ow". The evil sugar high laugh is much more fun to experience for the laugher.. trust me.
