Shiny Is As Shiny Does

Recent Firefly convert. (It only took me 5 years to discover it on my own, how it took me so long, I'll never know.) I was devastated to discover no further episodes after 'Objects in Space' - pretty sure a whole day of mourning went by clothed head to toe in black (and oh my, LOTS of chocolate consumption). To then discover Serenity the Movie was, well... you know that feeling when you've lost a precious something, wracked your mind searching every place your hands have already ransacked a hundred times over, only to see it shining happily up at you just waiting for your return? ...yeah. In someways I am glad I didn't go through all of the go se that those from Day One went through. On the other hand I can't imagine how wonderful it must have felt to accomplish what Firefly's fan base was able to after cancellation. I really love the premise Joss came up with: the blending Eastern & Western cultures, the central planets, the rim, Companions, defining morality where there are no clear lines, the continuation of human existence 500 years from today in a realistic and relatable realm... a person could get lost in that, and you know what? We did! BodyIsMyTemple

Living on the Edge...

Ah, frying pan, alas it is time we part ways. I long for my good ol'friend, the fire. I'm not in love with the fire, but it seems to be where I find myself...a lot...we've come to know each other very, very well over the years. We've developed a certain affinity. Fret not, dear frying pan, someday I will feel the need for stability and then I will join you again. But not today... Today, I fly by the seat of my pants. I rolls the dice and takes my chances. I jump right off the goram cliff and hope the bottom don't hit back too hard. Today is the day. Carpe mother-fuckin' diem, man! It's time for some thrilling heroics. Wish me luck...
