Just thought I'd update this, as sympathy is no longer required: I am fit and healthy once more. Or at least, as much as I was before I got the flu :) And if you came here looking for Firefly stuff, can I suggest you try this month's SFX? They have an article. Plus they have some recommendations for conventions to go to, mentioning Serenity, and also one called Redemption, which I have been reliably informed is good.

Why are some people so rude? If someone isn't looking their utmost best there is probably good reason. Some guy comes up to me a few minutes ago (630am) and says "You look awfully tired." Ok, thank you sooo much Captain Obvious! I know it's difficult for those who have never worked the graveyard shift to understand, but yes of course I am TIRED! (and just a little cranky too) It's one thing to observe that a person looks dead on their feet, but is it really neccessary to comment on it. I know it's probably not as big a deal as I am making out to be, but it really made me mad. I mean I noticed right away that he looked like an uptight- uber -geek, suave businessman wannabe, but I kept my mouth shut. Is that really too much to ask? Whew~ ok feeling much better.
