Sad Rant
Friday, 16 March 2007 06:08:24

---Trying Not To Be Over-Dramatic: OFF--- I miss all the files on the hard drive we can't really access because the motherboard decided to die when we got back from vacation. Heat rashes are weird. I have to do math homework over my Spring Break. I'm tired. Talking about buying another computer stinks. (I'll admit the math thing is my fault, because I could have done it before now - but, I can still rant about it.) I don't want to lose the fan fiction story about Shadow I was working on... it wasn't gonna be perfect, but it wasn't gonna be bad, either. ---Trying Not To Be Over-Dramatic: ON--- In other news: I think I may be too emotionally invested in the Internet, and the worst part is I don't really have any reason for it. Sure, I've made friends, but no "bestest buds in the whole wide world" friends (to my knowledge). And I'm pretty sure it's impacted my reading (as in, I used to read a lot, and now I don't, but I still want to), and... I don't know. The Internet helped me get in trouble last time (I wouldn't really have had anything - okay, more than one thing - to lie about without its involvement), which is a long story about how self-esteem is important and optimism is good, if not necessary (plus other stuff I won't get into). But, I don't want to 'leave'. If I could actually stop posting when I say I won't post, that might be okay. I guess. So, yeah. FYI (for anyone who's interested): I'll be here, just not visible (and hopefully I'll be able to get the story soon so I can finish it).

Gone with the Wind
Friday, 16 March 2007 07:15:17

Well then, last night surely brought another surprise. My co-worker quit the job. And I'm actually considering to do likewise. I know that it's hard to find work. But really, I don't need the money that bad. And I really don't want to work with that other co-worker on my own, simply for the fact that we don't get along too well. Basically it boils down to me being unable to work with utterly stupid people. A lot negative stuff happened in the course of the whole thing. My boss doing a couple of things that aren't too good as far as inter-human relations are concerned. As did my co-worker. *shudders* Really.

Friend told me she was a co-lead in Chris' new film "I Think I Love My Wife" (or something like that) which is supposed to open today, Friday. --MAG

Well, ones I did awhile back but couldn't seem to ge them to upload then over in the FILES section at the SoCalBrowmcoats Yahoo Group (see tagline above for link). Also uploaded the FF theme song from the soundtrack -- it does not have any of the sound FX as in the TV version. --MAG

Firefly DVD Boxset $19.99 at Target.
Friday, 16 March 2007 09:30:48

At least it was under $20 there last time I went -- maybe a week ago? So don't know if it's still on sale, but worth a look if you're in Target. --MAG

Finally watched the extras on the firefly box set
Friday, 16 March 2007 10:07:13

I gotta say: bravo, people. Bravo. The extras were so much fun. Did re-ignite the crankiness at those that decided to kill the show (and at such a young age too, what a tragedy) ... but I think my mum may even become a browncoat after watching the last scene on the gag reel. The deleted scenes were really good too. I usually avoid "deleted scenes" like the plague and worn out cliches (there is a reason they were deleted in the 1st place people!), but those were actually entertaining. And to re-iterate my statement in the tag: I like gin *hic*...

Why I hate Comic Relief
Friday, 16 March 2007 18:24:33

It's not the cause, I have nothing against giving to charity. I hate Comic Relief and other TV telethons in general for two reasons: 1. It's one night where a bunch of non-entities that like to think they are celebrities humiliating themselves. Especially newsreaders. Why do they feel the need to dress up in stockings? 2. The guilting you into giving them money. They show you pictures of starving Africans and say that if you don't give them money then the chld will die. It's the same with the charities that get people to sign up on the street. I really hate the emotional blackmail. I will give money to charity but I don't want to be forced.

hey, just thinking about writing a fanfic. what do y'all think about Reaver hunters? you know, not everybody would think too hard about trackin' 'em down, but somebody's got to keep them in check. Can't spend all your life runnin'.
