You are Wash. Not only are you a great pilot, you are also the joker of the group. Your devotion to your wife is admirable, though you sometimes feel insecure. Thank god you shaved off your moustache. I first had to figure out who I am in the Firefly universe. Couldn't be happier about who it came out to be. Wash is my fav character aside from Mal and Kaylee. I love the entire cast, the show wouldn't have worked with any other people or characters. So here's to my first blog entry, and hopefully induction into Browncoathood.

It's finally official. I can now be armed with needles, electricity, and drugs. Ha ha haaa! Mine is an evil laugh! Just wanted to share the good news. Rob O.

Ok, so I wrote these a while ago, right after D*C ended, but lo and behold, I forgot to post them here of all places :P lol. So there are 4 parts (one for each day that I'm posting now! enjoy!) Each part can be found below on the blog list thingie.

Well, today totally sucked (bad headache, feeling bad, pouring rain...soaking me, and then came the hours of trying to get back to the hotel), but the night more than made up for it!! I got to meet my peeps!!! lol. I got to hug my mei mei...:) Ah, let me start from the beginning. The first good thing of the day (night i suppose, nothing good about the day) was we went out to dinner at Hard Rock. While there I ordered a virgin strawberry daquiri. It came with a strawberry on top and I decided I needed to practice my strawberry eating ;) After all, I AM going to be Kaylee on Saturday and eat a strawberry. That's when I noticed some guys across from our table...and one seemed like he was checking me out. Who could blame him? :P I had a strawberry swirling around in my mouth! lol. After dinner, we didn't have much time until the firefly trivia contest so we headed down to the Marriott concourse and actually didn't get lost on our way there. Yahoo!!! lol. My little bro, dad, and I participated in it and it was shiny shiny! So fun to see people and joke around with them, even if I hadn't met them before. After all, we were all browncoats there. I met my friends that I had never met in person before, including Elemdee and Karel and Washie!! I didn't see her until after she came in the room because she came in when I was up for my question. When i went to the back of the line and turned around, there she was!! I squeed so much and we ran up to huggle each other! :) after a few rounds of the trivia I actually won something: two license plate holders that say serenity on them....well now all i have to do is get a car...lol. omg, sooooo shiny to be here!!!! sigh. And now? SLEEP!! (oh hey, bagpipes playing outside!!! PAR-TAE! :P)

On Friday morning Washie, my family, and I went to the aquarium. It was shiny. My two favorite things there were the Beluga whales and the blinking jellyfish that lit up (they looked like little UFO ships with blinking lights). Then, after we saw all the animals, I pet a small shark. It was so cool. He had roughish skin that was still smooth. I had so much fun with my mei mei…After the aquarium, I headed back to my hotel and hung out for a while. Then, it was time for BDH Panel #1!!! Woot!! That was so awesome. I went down and got in line with some friends, and while we waited the Bedlam Bards came out and played us a couple songs!! Waiting in line was actually fun! There were a plethora of Jayne Hats lined up against the building, and the line twisted through pillars and off into the distance. The panel itself was shiny too! (of course) When Alan and Summer came out, there was a HUGE cheer!!! They are both so awesome. Summer seemed super sweet and shy, and Alan was…well, he was Alan! Cracking jokes and making fun. There were plenty of questions asked (all entertaining and informative) and both of our BDHs did their best to answer them. I even asked a question! You see, there were these two dinosaurs on the table next to Alan…so I figured, “Weeeeelllllll, why not ask him to do the dinosaur scene from Serenity: the pilot?” *grins* When I finally got to ask him to do so, he was reluctant. He didn’t know all the words and so forth. Me and the rest of the room convinced him otherwise however and were actually treated to seeing Summer and Alan perform as the stegosaurus and the T-rex. Summer didn’t know ANY of the lines, so Alan fed them to her and she did a cute shy steg impression. It was so sweet to watch and everyone laughed. Alan did the T-rex and remembered most of his lines. He let the crowd fill in some of the specifics from time to time since EVERYBODY in the browncoat community knows that scene from start to finish :P It actually turns out that I got the last question (what a way to end a panel!). Saturday morning I actually woke up on time *gasp* (not wanting to of course since waking up is a task that I have yet to master but still it was on time). It was at about 7:30 am that I think I woke up, seeing as I had to be downstairs by 8:30 to meet up with other shiny folks for the parade, and I wanted to have time to shower and not rush to get down there (cause I’m ususally I’m late for everything, and I mean everything). Seems like I need not have gotten down early or even on time since we didn’t leave until about 9:30ish. S’ok though, gave me lots of time to take pics and hang with my fellow browncoats. J There was a mal dressed in the dress and floral bonnet from Our Mrs. Reynolds (that was a GREAT costume), a few very nice River costumes, plenty of shiny Kaylees (including myself), Trsitan as Mal (and guys, if you haven’t seen Tristan’s Mal costume…go see it now, cause it rocked! AND he made it all himself! From the coat to the suspenders to the boots! Way shiny), a couple Zoes, some Washes (with my fav as our wonderful pilot with the infamous stake through his chest), and then there was the awesome person dressed up as the “Not Mandatory” woman from the Fruity Oaty Bars commercial, octopus busting out of blouse right then and there. lol. The parade got started late too. After we trekked over to the start of the parade, we waited….and waited…and, uh…waited some more! It was ok though. Again, had some fun hanging with my favorite ‘Coats until it did start. And once it did? I was so psyched! I walked along, my pink parasol twirling in the air, a big Kaylee smile on my face. Oh, and before the parade, someone had handed out some bags of candy to us (also had a little dino in it for wash, ain’t that cute??) so I threw the candy to the little kids or the really enthusiastic fans in the crowd (kept the dino for myself though, cute little dino guy). As we started walking along, Cedric of the Bedlam Bards (nice guy him, met him several times during the con) struck up a tune! During the course of the parade, we sung a couple choruses of “Hero of Canton,” “The Firefly Theme,” “The Ballad of Joss,” and a couple other songs. It rocked, really added to the whole thing. Thanks Cedric!! But alas, the parade ended too soon…really! It was sooo short, but it WAS worth the getting up early and waiting and waiting and waiting and walking and walking some more…lol, no really it was. I had so much fun. Afterwards, everyone who was in the parade got a colorful water bottle if they wanted it, so that was cool. It was as I and my dad were walking back to our hotel after the parade that I saw Nicolas Brendon (Xander from Buffy) but I shrugged it off and said, “nah!” Oh how little I know about conventions…lol. It turns out that it was him, as I found out later. Aw well… So thusly, I headed back to my room in the mighty fortress of Hyatt-tude. I waited for a bit and then headed down to meet Washie and hang. Me and her went and shopped in one of the dealer rooms (where I got a shiny Kaylee badge) and then headed up to Nicolas Brendon panel (yes, and this is how I knew it was him in the hall after the parade). That was really fun to watch. He’s a real sweetie, and at the end of the panel he actually did the “snoopy dance”!!! (click here to see Nick do the snoopy dance: [b]

Because I got in so late (early???) I woke up late, therefore missing a panel I had wanted to attend about how to make fairy photographs. Sigh, aw well. I did get to go to a Buffy panel though. It was ok. There were some funny anecdotes. After that was the third BDH panel. Good panel, yep yep. In it, I think the best thing was that Alan read his Wash Eulogy. Yep, that’s right. You see, he read it at the wake but he ALSO read it at the panel on request of the person who wrote it. She wanted him to write her a “note” you see *giggles* cause she needed to prove to her friends who weren’t there that he actually did read it. He did her two better. He not only signed that he did, but (1) he actually read it to everyone, and (2) he edited it as he went along. Yep, Alan put little things in the margins (all funny of course) and read them out loud. My favorite was when he decided there weren’t enough words emphasizing his unique manliness. He chose to put a few thousand more “sexy” words in there, hehehe. “SEXY SEXY SEXY” yep, you go Alan! You’re totally in the right here. (click here to see Alan read his Wash eulogy: [b]
