Well, you're reading it here first. Ever wanted to see a time before our favourite Big Damn Heroes were on the scene? Ever wanted to see the unsung heroes of the verse? The ones who helped create the verse we know and love? Want to know what happens when law-abiding citizens get sick of being law-abiding citizens? If you said "YES" to any of these questions, read on... I'm writing an all-new, pre-Firefly time, fan film. It's called (drum roll)... Terraformers- Lawless. The script is currently being produced. Characters (so far): DARREN BURNE Ship captain RHIANE REYNOLDS A companion-in-training; joined terraforming crew to see the verse; knows Sianna from the Training House; co-pilot; KYLA MATTHEWS Ship’s mechanic; RHIANE's good friend; has a minor crush on GIONARDO SIANNA ENGLISH Former Companion; joined terraforming crew a month before RHIANE; Gionardo’ 3-year-older sister; ship’s medic; knows RHIANE from the Training House GIONARDO ENGLISH Sianna’s brother; general macho-man MAYNARD Young dandy (or as much as you can be on the Rim); middle man; DARREN’s friend from early terraforming days, before quitting for an easier, “safer” life More news to come- watch this space!

First, I want to say how grateful I am to have forums like this as an outlet; my girlfriend may just leave me if I say another word about BDS to her! As an average SciFi/ comic nerd, I love and appreciate all the big names, Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Darkhorse, etc. I've become pretty knowledgeable with the back-stories, canon, apocryphal, and just plain made up. Then came Joss Whedon. These characters are just amazing, whether you talk about BTVS, Angel, Dr. Horrible, Dollhouse or Firefly, it's the finest storytelling ever. They pulled at emotions dormant in me that I never knew television medis cold Joss has officially pushed me into true geekdom and obsession, to the point where I feel inspired to, nay OBLIGATED to make a showing at D*C in 2012, in full Mal costume. This will be my first convention experience ever! So, here I am!
