New hope and a little groovay!
Thursday, 13 October 2005 00:18:52

Hey all, I just wanted to say how sorry I was for fretting over the fate of Serenity. It is a great movie, and even if it does flop, it will still remain in yours and my heart. I really feel like I have failed and betrayed Firefly, Mr. Whedon, and all my fellow browncoats. I hope that those of us who lost faith at the moment of truth will be forgiven. On a brighter note, Halloween is coming up and my school (Meridian Technical Charter High School [MTCHS]) is having a tech party for gamers and the like. Due to district and state policy, we cannot say "Halloween" because it interferes with seperation of church and state I guess. Oh well. Skiils USA (the club at my school which organizes tech parties) is still making it a spirit week type thingy, and the tech party will be part of that. So on the day of the tech party, it will be "dress up as your favorite character", or more blatantly put, "put on a costume". The thursday before the tech party is dress up as your favorite "Sci-Fi" character, so I'm gonna put on my Reynold pants and go as the captain! If I manage to get a hold of a digital camera I'll take some pictures, but overall, it is gonna be a blast! Hope all you could come to this, but limit is 150 people (it is a small school). If you have any ideas for me costume, please respond to this. I tried looking at the site for selling Firefly and Matrix garments (Abbyshot I think?), but they are darn expensive and I don't know if I could afford that. I thought of Burlington Coat Factory, but I don't know what type of coat Mal's is (the browncoats). I've been told that they are dusters or trenches, but I don't know. Please help me out with this and thanks again for giving me hope Tracy and all you bunches of anonymous's (as well as a few others, but I can't remember thier names) in responding to my last post "Dead"! I really feel inspired by you all, and once again, thank you. -Icarus P.S. Who liked the sequel to "Eragon", "Eldest"? I loved it! P.P.S. I am also looking for a wallpaper size picture of Mal during the Battle of Serenity Valley (Episode 1). Please give me the URL if you know where one is, thanks!

I think I'm annoying my friends with all my Firefly/Serenity talk. But I'm just so excited about the movie! I've watched at least one episode of Firefly a day for the past week (at least), and if I had an easy way of getting to a theater I'd be seeing Serenity daily! Is it wrong that I'm spreadin' the Firefly love? I hope not...'cause I'm gonna keep on spreadin'!

Cause i've seen Serenity four times, and i'm still not bored by it yet (i have very small attention spans for movies), also noone posted the movie on the place i go to for movies... so no list of cool quotes or anything =( oh and I got a 81 on my test yesterday... so now i'm actually useful to the Air Force.. but more or less just excited I got an 81... since I studyed for the test the night before. Oh and while i'm thinking of it. Anyone know if they'll be any more cons with teh BDHs (in the UK) after the one in Nov... or at least some shindigs? I don't get to PSC (Permenent Change of Station) until Decemeber. Aite, enough of my random attention whoreing... thank you for reading to todays program..."I'll be in my bunk"

For the Red Robin Employee Who Likes Firefly
Thursday, 13 October 2005 12:16:15

So a long time ago I set up a cafepress store and started making my own Firefly shirts. Not many people have purchased from it and that doesn't bother me a bit, but I bought one of my own shirts. It reads "My Other Car is a Firefly Class Transport" and has a silhouette of the ship on there. I just happened to be wearing it when the wife and I went to dinner at the Red Robin near Westgate Mall in San Jose last night. The greeter at the door, Matt, say hello and transitions right into "Nice shirt". I do a double take because for all the times I've worn that shirt, not a single soul has commented on it! Turns out Matt's a big fan of the show and tends to frequent Fireflyfans.net! So Matt, if you happen to see this, your noticing was much appreciated! :D

This is how bored I am...

My life is at a lull right now, I'm kind of drifting metal status wise 'cause of this new insulin pump they're trying to sort out, so I'm claiming complete innocence at to how this came about... All I can say is that I'm sorry to any and all people involved in Firefly... href="

Finally!

That's right. Firefly is here. Now, finally I can catch up and take in the whole 'Verse. I'll see you guys again in the length of time it takes me to watch every single episode. I really don't know what to do with myself.
