Eyes of doubt and happiness mix early, shapes and sounds echoe in time and space, beating against beating, coming together as one, the void of nothing slowly disappears in the dawn, the slight gasp of doubt and fear, slowy esing away, no waking, a cover, light as feathers, slowly slips free, holding a blunder to the holder, as dawn slowly shows, unseen, empty footsteps wander down the stairs, empty hopes float away, emptiness is there, Where is the warmth? Why is it empty? The heart aches, there is nothing there, heavy footsteps pad to the window, hidden by the shadows, watching, sadness in the reflection, sadness on the face of the other, as she too looks up at the watcher.

Got my Firefly OVC yesterday, got my Finding Serenity today. I nailed it. I got Jayne right, I got Mal right. I got the motivations. I got the cage imagery that Mercedes Lackey sees. I have absorbed the influences, read the books, seen the movies... In short, I feel that I am actually pursuing the vision in a way that would make Joss, well, kinda proud. So I'm going to continue on my own goofy little way. Sod anyone who can't be bothered to give me feedback - I feel vindicated and validated here. Even if I never see a penny from any of this, I am writing good, solid work with firm foundations and an informed slant. In short, gorramit, I can write like Whedon and Edlund and Minear and all those other wonderful folk that got paid to do it. So maybe one day someone is going to pay me for my stuff, too. There is nothing like a little modesty. And reading the above, that is certainly nothing like modesty. But hell with it - ain't like folks read and comment on this, now, is it? SpaceAnJL Breeder of mutant plot-bunnies since 2002...

Just trying to get pictures uploaded, anyone reading this who knows how to on this forum I'd gladly appreciate it. Anyway, just crashing out with Bladerunner on the tv and waiting for Beth, my gorgeous midget of a fiancé - who only found out today her official job title is sandwich artist. Amazing. Bleh, bored and I'm a bloody awful blogger.
