poo. I'm totally stalled on the next part of my story Choices... the closer I get to the end, the harder it's becoming to write. And the really frustrating thing is, that for once I actually know how this is going to end!! I've got the climax all figured out, have had it for a long while now, but the getting there is proving really difficult, and I don't know why. Maybe it's because I want to be writing the ending, I dunno... but I just can't seem to get anything 'on paper'. This whole week, I've done maybe 100 words! I had hoped the weekly challenge might've unblocked me, but it isn't looking like it. I'm very frustrated... Also, I'm starting to feel a bit down about the story in general, because I'm starting to realize I'm not writing it as efficiently as I should be... and I'm doing too much 'telling' instead of 'showing'... But how do you ask someone to beta a piece of work that is already several thousand words long?? I've never had a beta, but one can only edit their own work so well... on the otherhand, I'm always so impatient after getting a part written, I don't know how I could wait before posting it... :o) Guess I'm hopeless... I'm very thankful for all the shiny comments everyone has left me, and if I haven't said so after some parts, I really am. I appreciate every single one, and it really boosts my spirits and helps me to keep at it... just wish I could restart the engines :o/

Hey there! I'll probably never write in this blog again. I've got blogs going other places and I find that I don't use them much. Probably because I'm a boring person. I could either ramble about things nobody wants to hear, or I can not write in it at all. Not very good options, is it? Anyhow, I just didn't want to leave my blog totally entryless because it'd just be such a waste. And who knows, maybe I'll write in here again? It might be boring, but it's not like I'm forcing anyone to read it.

Dark void, vacuum is space Calling Screaming the Dying, Reavers Pledge Peal away the strips of rotted flesh Screaming, howling inhuman Holding us binding us to our conformity Animal’s blood-thirsty cannibals Providing all that we Fear Feed upon the death of that corps cage The carnage a blazing rage To free your self from that life you took Take the bullet to the brain Gouge out the eyes of our deception Blood dripping Flesh ripping Bring forth the an infants resurrection May they see the world a new? Slanderous tongue of moral corruption A void of space insurrection I tore thee from my body Lo behold my soul is cleansed of you A product of….. I am a Killer I am a murderer A Deceiver An Animal The Reavers Reavers Our Pledge!

Went on a 1st date tonight (whoo-hoo, right?) & made him watch Serenity - hey, he said he liked science fiction, so I decided to perform a little test.....& he passed with flying colors - he's totally hooked. As a true Sci-Fi fan would be......... I know Joss never has time to read these silly Blogs (what a word - makes me think of swamps) - but I gotta thank him for the show & movie anyway - even though he won't "hear" me! :) Now my erstwhile date is determined to watch the entire FireFly series with me (no problem, I own 2 sets, just in case one wears out), & if he turns out to be a total bore (T.G. he doesn't have this site address) it's not a problem - it gives me a good excuse to rewatch the show. Just kidding, he's not a bore. I'm positive he'll buy both the movie & series himself (he's already committed to buying Serenity) - so, NEW RECRUIT! My family & friends all own their own sets of the FireFly series & the Serenity movie, since we're not too willing to share (we all share other series, but not this one...), and although we have very busy lives, we somehow manage to find time for the series, after all - you have to have your priorities straight. Right, Browncoats? :) If I'm boring you with my rambling, didn't mean to - I don't post any other Blogs, never use chat sites - so I decided to babble away here & see what would happen. Hopefully nothing explodes.

Was listening to some music a coworker of mine brought in to work today... she's into country and bluegrass and there were a couple of songs in what she played for me that I swear could almost have been written specifically for Firefly... they certainly speak to me, so I thought I'd share the titles and lyrics for anyone interested! This first one is just SO River to me, it's amazing. It's called Falling Into You, and would work great for a vid, could focus on Simon and River, or could even be worked as a Mal/River or Jayne/River I'm sure if that's your thing... It's by Kasey Chambers, who's a definate country artist, though this song isn't particularly country... Worth a listen:

I am terribly sick, and it's been raining for two days. And I have to go to work every night from 6 - 11. During the day I lay in bed having nightmares (with scary monsters). Now yesterday I thought I'd start feeling better because of the marathon on Scifi. Thought it'd cheer me up, and help me get over this gorram flu. But no such luck, watched all the way through Jaynestown before I had to go to work, and still felt like go se. Though I did mubble something along the lines of, "The human body can be drained of blood in 8.5 seconds given adiquite vacumeing systems" at my friends while we waited for the actors to finish mic checks.
