I'm trying to get my cat to tolerate riding in the car. So far: cat 1, me 0. She peed all over me and the front seat. Had to go get emergency change of clothes from mom. Looked like idiot in crop pants. The good news is, there's still time for kitty valium from the vet if all else fails...

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I decided to get the Sims 3 and recreate the crew of Serenity. I also wanted to experiment with whether the crew would autonomously develop relationships like they have in the show. This has occasionally had some amusing and/or disturbing results. For example, in one of the versions I was playing, Inara developed an autonomous attraction to... Guess. No, wrong. Jayne. x_x In the version I’ve been playing the most, Inara (unsurprisingly) has become the first character to want to actually have any sort of romantic interaction with another character. You are probably too frightened by the last one to even try to guess, so I'll just say it this time. *singsong* Inaaara liiikes Maaal. *singsong* Although I remain unconvinced that this is conclusive, particularly considering the previous... event. In any case, for anyone who has the Sims 3 or who wants to try this, I decided to post my profile, where I have all the characters available for anyone who wants to try to make their own version, and also three different versions of the crew for quick load and play. There's a few options here, you can choose to have Inara or Book, or to have Zoe and Wash married or not. I have to admit, I'm not entirely satisfied with how Wash looks, I can never seem to render him very well in either drawing or apparently here. But maybe someone will do a better version sometime that I can adopt. :)

AAAARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! Not sure this adequately expresses my level of frustration at this particular moment, but I am not always the most articulate individual on the planet when thwarted....

Ni-howdy, all of you going to Dragon*Con: As you're exiting the Centennial Ballroom after Ron Glass's Q&A on Friday, stick around on the Concourse to hear the Bedlam Bards singing your favorite Firefly-inspired songs! And of course, remember you can get our CDs at our table in the Marriott lobby. See you there, Cedric
