We managed to get all the furniture plus the washer/dryer and chest freezer into the POD. Friends are good to have. Friends who help you move are better. Friends who will do it more than once are just shiny! We get a day off to rest then we're unpacking Monday and Tuesday evenings. It took us about seven hours to load it all (including lunch and standing around BSing), so we should be OK... Now we just have to get the rest of our :crap:

So, I'm eighteen now am I? Where the 'verse did the time go? Seems like only yesterday I was running around in dungarees with a t-rex in one hand and a jam sandwich in the other while yelling about someone having their pants on fire. Ah, good times... But never mind that, I have exciting grown up adulty-type things to look forward to. Such as taxes, jury duty and pensions (hey, is that a wrinkle?). Suppose I could start with choosing a university, even if it [i]does[/i] mean I need a blood test and a course of three injections...I'll just keep myself going by thinking of retirement. Only fifty-odd years to go :biggrin: b

All moved in. Including the cat. And I have a jury-rigged computer on a cardboard box until the desk arrives. The study, cleared of the former inhabitants' stuff, turns out to be yellow with small vine-y stencils round the ceiling (!) anyway, so no hurry to redecorate.:smile: So, I now have a dedicated study. *extends arms, cracks knuckles* Time to go to work.
