Biography
New to this, figured I would fill in some info:
I am a 45 year old father of 3, married to a beautiful (younger) woman, whom I adore.
1st time in a web forum/chatroom/fan club etc.
Choose the name Latebloomer based on my very delayed arrival to the Verse.
Sci-Fi History:
1. I began watching Star Trek when I was 9-10 years old. I remember begging Mom to let me watch it, before going out to play.
2. Was late coming to other Star Trek series, but enjoyed TNG and Voyager.
3. Love all the Star Trek Movies!
4. Big Terminator Fan, actually love almost everything that Arnold did. Really got into last year's Terminator TV series, absolutely loved the work Summer Glau did with her character. Weird to see her in earlier work (firefly) as her terminator character really made the series for me. Actually, a little bewildered by her role in Firefly as it seemed incomplete/mysterious. Joss really rounded her out in the movie, it all came together for me!
5. Don't remember being heavy into many other Sci-Fi TV shows, felt spoiled on Star Trek and Terminator, figured others would pale.
6. Introduced to Firefly in Mid-May 2008, resistant at 1st, but figured I could DVR it, and watch it when I was bored. Luckily the 1st show the DVR caught was the original shortened Serenity episode. Pulled me right in, but I quickly figured out that I did not know the episode "order", so I borrowed the series DVDs and Movie from the friend that told me about Firefly. Flew through all of it including the extras on all DVDs. Can't say enough about the show. Every character is really good and the way River comes to life in the movie really tied things together for me. I really hope for more in the future!!! Glad to finally be apart of it!
