Far too less Browncoat sightings here.
The first contact with Firefly was by random chance.
I was looking around for a film to watch,
for one of coming evenings.
Eventually I stumbled across some of the
most evil trash movies, my mind should ever
experience, and alas, the third film was
Serenity, and great was the surprise.
The film was taken to friends, and
watched over, and over again.
Then, some day, one of these friends
asked the question, which should create
a lasting change, in many ways, he asked
if I knew that Serenity based on a series,
he just found out.
Weeks later the phone rung, he got the copies.
We watched them together with some friends.
Some of them showed to be unworthy,
and would be shunned from there on. :-)
A long Firefly Night was initiated.
There were many drinks, even more to eat.
In the following time, when I sold my soul
to some additional nightshifts, giving me
to honour to experience 40hour days,
an episode of Firefly would set my
soul to rest, before facing the
weekly caffeine Armageddon.
Humour has always deflected my strife
