Haven't had a TV except for a couple months at a time since I was 12. Forced into watching Firefly by addicted husband and 2 oldest sons (16 @ 14). Help, I'm drowning. I'm as in love as if I were 17 and just met the new kid in town. I keep coming online, holding my breath, hoping for a glimpse of the wit and incredible writing that enthralls me in Firefly. (Yes I find it sometimes and that's why I keep coming back).

Aspiring author, Teacher (currently tutoring so I can be home with my youngest son but formerly in a one room school K-6th), Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, ravenous reader, genealogist, gardener, cook, and passionate about my family.

I live in the wilds of Humboldt Co. on 400 acres. Coyotes, bears, wild turkeys, Red Tail hawks, and wild flowers conspire to keep me from moving to town where life is easier. Solar and generator powered computer (liable to drop off on me at any moment) let me get on the net to feed my addictions--genealogy and Firefly.

Here, I hope to find intellectual stimulation, shared interest in the best TV I've ever seen, and a little humor. Dong ma?
