Biography
I saw the movie because I had some time to kill - it was in the cheap theater by then. I came just in time; the River sequence was almost over. I was feeling really stressed, and I had just watched the Wallace & Gromit movie. So it was such a shock to my system - so different, so interesting, so... complete. A show where the people are more important the the effects or the plot. That very night I found the websites and ordered the series.

My favorite moment by far was River in the last episode - "And Early, Serenity is very unhappy" I saw it at 3:30 AM and I was so delirious that the whole Das Boot feel felt extra real - and River, having been so crazy before, suddenly turning the tables. Every time I see that I feel like jumping right out of my seat. Early's "you're all crazy," which I think describes the crew's main advantage.

My second favorite moment is when Kaylee comes into the party and that old guy saves her from the valley girls... er, Persephone girls. Actually, the whole party sequence is great.

My least favorite moment is the beginning of Heart of Gold... the "examine me" line.., and the middle of it.. and the... well, that whole episode can go except for the Wash/Zoë dispute and a few Jayne jokes. And Book's shocked look at the beginning.

Kaylee is my favorite character. She is so unlike anyone in any other show I've seen: so innocent, so cute, and so... erm... horny. An engineer who doesn't talk in technobabble, a Pollyanna who can be realistic.

My second favorite character is Mal. Complicated fellow, and one I sympathize with. "Keep flying" has become something of a motto for me. I know the feeling of having everything you believe in ripped away with sudden violence… and I admire Mal for keeping on going.

I guess Mal is the guy I am and Kaylee is the one I’d like to be around.
