IT'S A TOUGH JOB, BUT...

...okay, it's not really that tough.

I've spent the better part of the day watching Firefly. Again.

See, I watched the series through for the first time last weekend, and my DVDs arrived on Wednesday, so I've been working my way through the episodes again. Just to make sure there are no defects on the disks, you understand. >_>

Anyway, by this morning I had got to Ariel, when my friend Tyler showed up. After we got brunch, I forced her to watch the pilot. Half-way through, she was remarking on how much she dislikes the Captain, and what an a$$hole he is. By the end of the episode, she was talking about how much he reminds her of her ex-boyfriend. *grin*

Also, she was eager to watch another two episodes, to finish disk 1. Heh. Then she had to go, but not before asking me to send her a link to this board. She's looking forward to watching the Sci-Fi broadcasts, too.

It's amazing how easily the Signal propagates itself.

I was born in 1971, and my mother was a hippie. The first ten years of my life were transitory; I never lived in one place more than a year until I moved to Cincinnati in 1981. I am now living in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.

I've been a fan of science fiction as far back as I can remember; I think I picked it up from reading the Chronicles of Narnia over and over again. I am currently enrolled, but not active, in a freeform online Silmarillion-based RPG, in which I occasionally play Smeagol.

My nickname, "Greek" Toomey, was one I chose in 1995, when I was conscripted into a cell of guerrilla dadaists in San Francisco, and was required to select a field identity.

I never saw Buffy, Angel, or Firefly before they were cancelled. A friend lent me her Buffy season 1 dvds a couple years ago, and I soon realized that I had to own everything made by Joss. I didn't watch Firefly until 15 July 2005, and in the space of a week, it has eaten my brain completely.
