While the Dollhouse renewal isn't official until it's officially announced, being that the Los Angeles Times, which I consider a credible top tier media news source, has now posted an article on the matter, there's a good chance that it's a done deal at this point.

Chicago Tribune is running a similar story:

I saw this was posted elsewhere by Haken, but to consolidate here's the one linked at Whedonesque that got over 300 comments. http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/05/dollhouse-second-season.html

In other good news: http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/05/abc-renews-castle-orders-two-towns.html More Castle!!

Plus, congratulations are all over Felicia Day's twitter to all her Jossverse friends. http://twitter.com/feliciaday Sounds official to me! Joss is already celebrating according to his sister-in-law's twitter! http://twitter.com/moTancharoen

Holy link-mania, Batman!

Breaking news minutes ago, Joss himself posted confirmation at Whedonesque. Clicky the link to read what he had to say: http://whedonesque.com/comments/20332 (his post is about 300 posts in, look for the purple lettering)

I guess they got the egg off their faces

I think CHUCK will be renewed, other sites have said the actors agents have already been informed. I think NBC wants to create a huge build up.

Note, tvbythenumbers were just looking at the ratings and saying it didn't look likely.

At the moment most of the industry are going "they did what?!" - it was a fairly wild move.

Perhaps Joss has something on them ;)

Congrats Dollhouse fans!

I'm not one of you but I'm glad to see a network(Fox of all networks) give an underdog show like this a second shot. I hope you can help get the show better ratings next season and keep them steady. Joss needs a successful show, even if fans like me don't particularly care for it.

BTW I honestly do not hate the show, it's just not my cup of tea. Still doesn't mean I don't respect it's fans and the fact that the show is still a darn good one. I might just try a fifth time to get into Dollhouse, no promises.

Is it just me or is Fox actually turning a new leaf? Is it possible they learned from past mistakes? Just don't let us down guys, maybe we'll get a new Joss show on Fox set in the Firefly 'Verse someday.

Very please with the renewal, but where was this " we only gave it 13 episodes so we're renewing it to let it develop mentality before??"

I KNOW! Maybe they learned a little (very little) from the Firefly/Serenity phenomenon...at lease where JW's stuff is concerned. Anyway, at least 2 of our BDH will be on our TVs next season!!
